My life goals are to graduate high school with A’s and B’s, attend a good college, and pursue a career in the medical field either as a Registered Urgent Care Nurse, NICU Nurse, Labor and Delivery Nurse, or Ultrasound Technician. I am most passionate about helping others. Since June, I have been volunteering at the Elk Grove Food Bank 1-2 times a week for 3 hours and 30 minutes each day. I am a great candidate because I put my all into everything. I do not procrastinate and I get every assignment done and turned in on time. I want to make going to Christian Brothers well worth it for my mother, the only one who financially supports me. Receiving a scholarship will help me in my college journey to helping others.

• I take orders over the phone, in person, on Doordash, and on Slice. I also make pastas, sandwiches, salads, and breadsticks. I bring food out to the customers and clean up the dining area and bathrooms.

• I sort produce, placing bad produce in a box that gets sent off to the pig farm for pigs to eat. I also am a shopper (a person who assists clients in the Choice Room) or a runner (a person who brings the client’s cart of food to their car).

  At the food bank, I work in the warehouse. I volunteer here 1-2 times a week for 3 and a half hours each day. I love volunteering at the food bank because not only do I get to help people in need, but make amazing, kind- hearted friends no matter how old or young they are.
