Bio

I am a mechanical engineering student at Washington University in St. Louis with an interest in MEP and HVAC design. Outside the classroom, I compete on WashU's women's soccer team, where balancing engineering and collegiate athletics has strengthened my discipline, teamwork, and time management. I am a mechanical engineering student at Washington University in St. Louis with an interest in MEP and HVAC design. Outside the classroom, I compete on WashU's women's soccer team, where I have helped my team win two NCAA Division III National Championships while maintaining a 3.87 GPA. Through my coursework and internships, I have developed experience with CAD, Revit, building system design, and BIM coordination. My first engineering internship introduced me to HVAC design and load calculations, while my current construction internship has given me hands-on experience creating as-built Revit models, reviewing construction documents, and coordinating building systems. After graduation, I hope to become a licensed mechanical engineer and design sustainable, energy-efficient building systems for commercial and institutional buildings.

    • Dream career goals:

My long-term career goal is to become a licensed mechanical engineer specializing in MEP and HVAC design. I hope to design sustainable, energy-efficient building systems for commercial and institutional buildings while continuing to develop my technical expertise. One area of engineering I particularly enjoy is computer-aided design (CAD). Through my coursework and CAD classes, I have developed a strong foundation in technical modeling and enjoy using software such as Revit to create detailed building models and construction documents. Outside the classroom, my internships have reinforced my interest in this field. My first internship introduced me to HVAC design and load calculations, which sparked my interest in building systems. More recently, my construction internship has given me hands-on experience creating and revising as-built Revit models, reviewing construction documents, and assisting with MEP coordination. Seeing how these digital models support real construction projects has confirmed that I want to pursue a career in MEP engineering. As I continue my education, I hope to earn my Professional Engineer (PE) license and contribute to projects that improve the safety and efficiency of the spaces people use every day.
