Hi! I am a high school senior from Kansas City, Missouri. I plan on attending Washington University in St. Louis and majoring in engineering next fall. I maintain a 4.0 GPA and will have taken 10 AP classes by the time I graduate. I am a National Merit Commended Scholar and received the College Board National African American Recognition Award as well as the AP Scholar Award. Although I participate in various extracurriculars at my school, including tennis, Key Club, and National Honor Society, my most prominent activity is soccer. I have been a part of the varsity team since my freshmen year and became a captain in my junior year. I was All-Conference Offensive Player of the Year and made Second Team All-State my junior year. My dream is to become an engineer because I want to apply math and science ideas to solve real-life problems and increase diversity within STEM careers. I want to be a part of something bigger than myself that has a long-lasting and positive impact on the world.
