When I was 6, my mother took me to my first play. It was Cinderella. My mom told me that during the play, I was the quietest I have ever been. Since then, I gravitated towards performing arts and the wonders behind them. I use to dress up in funny clothes and perform in front of my mother as she cheered me on. It was a rush. During high school, I joined the school's drama club. At first I loved it, but then as time went on my passion for it deflated, due to my teacher not giving it the spark we needed. That was until, my junior year, I played the role of King in Cinderella. After the play, I was standing there by myself, waiting for my mother to find me, when a little girl ran up to me and hugged me. That smile and inspiration in her eyes made me realize why I wanted to follow in the acting path. Since then I grabbed any opportunity I can to stay in the acting field. Now I get to have my chance. I am attending theater and drama B.A. school in IU Bloomington this coming fall session. Soon I will be able to perform on bigger screens and get to have more people smile when I am on screen.
