I'm a sophomore at The George Washington University, working part time at maximum hours to help finance my education while carrying a full course load. That balance has taught me the two things: discipline and self reliance. I'm happiest when I'm building. This past year I taught myself to set up and run AI tools on my own hardware, and I'm now developing a language learning tutor as my first real project. Outside of tech, I train calisthenics at my local park and bike nearly everywhere I go daily habits that keep me consistent and grounded.
But my strongest motivation is at home. My younger sister is disabled, and one of my life's central goals is building a career successful enough that she can live comfortably and happily, without ever having to worry. That responsibility is why I work the hours I do, why I'm teaching myself skills beyond the classroom, and why I take my education seriously. I want to become a man worthy of respect someone who builds useful things, fosters genuine connection, and takes care of his own. A scholarship would bring me closer to being that person.
