Bio

I am a Political Science student at Stony Brook University on the Pre-Law track with a passion for leadership, service, justice, and community impact. Through academics, entrepreneurship, ministry, athletics, and mentorship, I have consistently sought opportunities to make a meaningful difference while preparing for a future career in law and advocacy. As the Founder and CEO of LIVE IT FULLY EVERYDAY, I lead a faith-centered lifestyle brand focused on intentional living, personal growth, and positive change. I oversee branding, marketing, and creative strategy, and my work has been recognized through features in BlackWorld Magazine's October 2024, February 2025, and November 2025 issues. I currently serve as a Lead Coach with SCAN Harbor, mentoring 15–20 elementary school students and supporting their academic, physical, emotional, and social development. This role is especially meaningful because I was once a participant in SCAN Harbor's youth programs, inspiring my commitment to giving back to the next generation. In addition, I serve as Media Officer for Holy Spirit International Ministry, while also contributing as a drummer, choir member, technology volunteer, children's ministry volunteer, and community outreach volunteer. Through these roles, I help strengthen community engagement, support ministry operations, and serve others through faith-based leadership. Whether through entrepreneurship, mentorship, ministry, or athletics, I strive to lead with purpose, empower others, and create lasting impact in my community.

Bick First Generation Scholarship
Being a first-generation college student means carrying a responsibility that extends far beyond myself. It means stepping into spaces that no one in my immediate family has had the opportunity to navigate before, learning as I go, and creating a path that others in my family can one day follow. Every application, financial aid form, difficult class, and major decision has required me to figure things out through persistence, faith, and determination. While that journey has not been easy, it has shaped the person I am becoming. Throughout college, I have faced significant financial challenges. Like many first-generation students, I have had to think constantly about how I would afford tuition, housing, books, transportation, and everyday expenses while staying focused on my education. There were moments when the weight of those responsibilities felt overwhelming, but I refused to allow my circumstances to determine my future. Instead, I learned to persevere, seek opportunities, and continue working toward my goals one step at a time. Despite these obstacles, I remained committed to growing academically and personally. I have continuously worked to improve my grades, earning Dean's List recognition and raising my GPA through discipline and resilience. Every semester has been a reminder that success is not always about where you begin, but about the determination to keep moving forward even when the road is difficult. My greatest source of strength has been my faith in God. My faith has taught me to remain hopeful during uncertainty, to work diligently, and to believe that every challenge has a purpose. It has also inspired my desire to serve others. Whether through my involvement in church ministry, mentoring younger students, or simply encouraging those around me, I have learned that leadership is rooted in service. My long-term dream is to become both a lawyer and a real estate professional who creates opportunities for underserved communities. I want to advocate for justice, increase access to affordable housing, and help families build generational wealth through property ownership. I also hope to continue using my platform to inspire young people, especially first-generation students, to believe that their circumstances do not define their potential. This scholarship would do far more than ease my financial burden. It would allow me to devote more of my energy to my education, leadership, and career preparation rather than constantly worrying about how to pay for the next semester. It would bring me one step closer to graduating, pursuing graduate school, and eventually attending law school. Being first-generation is not simply part of my story; it is my motivation. I know the sacrifices that have made my education possible, and I refuse to waste them. I hope that one day my success will not only honor those who came before me but also open doors for those who come after me. This scholarship would be an investment not only in my future, but in the many lives I hope to impact through faith, service, and advocacy.
