Bio

I am a 19-year-old aspiring musician from Toronto, Canada. When I was 13, I changed schools (and countries!) for the first time when I moved to London, England. After that I moved to Vancouver, back to London, and then finally to Honolulu, Hawaii where I graduated from high school. Making music and writing my own songs is what has helped me process and cope with all the experiences that came with uprooting my whole life more than once to move between all these different cities and countries. My dream is that one day I’ll be able to make a career and life out of creating music that allows me to not only connect with myself, but others all around the world who may find themselves in my lyrics or resonate with my music and art in their own way. I am hoping my music grows to further help me and others feel less alone.

It came from a place my mind occupied during March of 2020. In a period which followed my lowest point, I found that one day, my mind had detached from my tangible reality. For example, there is an idea I read about, in a comic, about a fishbowl. It claimed our world exists in one. I think at that point, it almost felt as if I was outside the fishbowl. This song was made not only for me to check in on my awareness of the present moment, but for others to do too. It was born of my inclination to contemplate nihilistic and hedonistic aspects of human nature, escapism, and our own mortality. It was me reaching out to others who feel like me.
