Bio

Hello, my name is Neven Torres. I plan to attend Boston University, where I have been recruited to row for the Men's Heavyweight Crew team. I will be majoring in Economics and Mathematics while also being enrolled in the Pre-Law program. I have taken a rigorous class load, including AP, Dual Enrollment, and Honors courses. I have managed to maintain a high grade point average throughout my time in school, balancing this with work and varsity athletics. I received distinction at school, earning a spot on the Honor Roll all four years, in addition to AP Scholar. Outside of school, I have been able to achieve great success in crew, from which I have received offers to row at some of the top universities in the United States. Through the help of grants and scholarships, I will be able to continue to pursue the subjects and extracurriculars I love. In addition, through my learning experiences at university, I will be equipped with the knowledge and tools I need to be a force for change in the world. I hope to give back to others through my future career, whether it be in a government office or a law firm, where I can fight for underrepresented communities.
