Hi! My name is Nolan. Ever since my childhood introduction to the piano and percussion instruments, I've harbored a deep love for music, dedicating my free time to creating compositions and arrangements. But music isn't my only passion. I also cherish the moments spent with friends, family, or simply losing myself in the beauty of nature or binge-watching TV shows. Being a second-generation Peruvian-American, I'm driven to achieve high academic success. I’m currently a dual-enrolled sophomore at the University of Miami and Columbia University, majoring in Political Science and Philosophy. Outside the classroom, I've focused my interests in writing and the law by founding the Collegiate Law Journal at the University of Miami, leading its team as Editor-in-Chief. Over at Columbia University, I wear a different hat but with an equally compelling purpose, serving as a writer and researcher for the Columbia Undergraduate Law Review. But behind all these achievements stands the unyielding support of my mother. Raised single-handedly by her, not a day passes without me recognizing and cherishing her unwavering dedication to my education and well-being. Being a single-parent, she’s often carried many financial obligations to invest in my future. Now, I want to be able to reduce this strain by being a part of the BOLD community.
