Bio

Hello there! My name is Noelle and I'm a high school senior who's super passionate about all things STEM, especially as I strive to use engineering to create real-world impacts for my community. I've been selected as a Pete Conrad Scholar, Coolidge Senator, and NASA Space Apps Challenge Global Finalist, and these awards have been designated for my various self-led efforts in science and engineering. Most notably, I've served as the team captain of a student engineering team where I led the development of LotICE, a novel innovation in aircraft de-icing that promises to make the aerospace industry more efficient and sustainable. I've also interned at Boeing, NASA, and George Mason University, each with a separate project related to engineering/data analysis. Beyond STEM, I care deeply about mental health advocacy and educational outreach, and I've furthered these passions through my role as a suicide hotline operator at Samaritans Hope and an educational writer at Fiveable/DemiDec. I've been accepted to attend Caltech in the fall (although I'm waiting to commit to the university until I receive more information about costs/financial aid). In the future, I hope to pursue a career in aerospace to drive real-world impacts as I continue my lifelong commitment to STEM.
