Bio

Hi, my names Noah Woelfel, I'm a student at the university of Minnesota Duluth and am studying biology. My goal is to graduate and go to med school and then become a medical doctor. This has been something that I have wanted to do for many years and I'm trying my best to achieve my goals. I was the Triple A Award winner at my high school for excelling in academics, arts, and athletics. I did all this while having a job and being in NHS volunteering in the community.

I love Minnesota. Minnesota is my home state born and raised and I attended High School in small-town Minnesota at New London-Spicer High School. While in high school I played 3 sports and lettered in all 3 almost every year of high school. While doing this, I also had a 3.8 GPA and stayed ahead in all my classes. I also was in choir, making up the triple-A award for athletics, academics, and arts. This is awarded to 1 male and 1 female across the state per school. I also had a job where I worked at the local gas station on the weekends. Being born here and living here still is for a reason, I love the state and I would do a lot to make sure it's still a place I can love for the foreseeable future. I strive to enrich the lives of the community by volunteering. I was in Boy Scouts and the National Honors Society where everything we did was around volunteering and bettering the community. At church, I would always volunteer to help at the services and at the different events that the church put on like pancake breakfasts and silent auctions with meals. Most of the people there knew me and they'd always comment on how I'm always helping out. My 9th-grade year students from my church went to Houston Texas for the National Youth Convention where we go down there and volunteer to fix and clean things like parks and sidewalks and we also went on a trip to Minneapolis to clean the sidewalks in suburbs. These were things that I like to do and that's why I was in both of these extracurriculars. This is something that I hope I can continue to do throughout my life as a college student and after. It is also something that I find fun or enjoyable and it helps people out which is the main priority when helping those in need. Everyone needs help at some point in their lives whether they know it or not and if I can help as many of them as possible hopefully one day when I need help there is someone else out there to help me just as I have so many others. Volunteering is a big thing for me I have done it my whole life, its a part of me, and that is how I strive to enrich the lives of others in the Minnesota communities around me.

Future Leaders in Technology Scholarship - College Award
I am very interested in the development of technology and where it will be in the years to come. I hope that in some way I can help with the progression of technology wether that is in a big way or a small way. I hope to contribute either to technology as a job by developing something new and innovative or contribute as a hobby by building and fixing pc's, troubleshooting, and bettering someone else's experience with technology as a whole. I want to see technology grow and be a big part of everyone's life, but at the same time it has to be done in a way that is safe for everyone and doesn't interfere with ways of living.
