Bio

I’m a 21-year-old civil engineering student at Liberty University, studying full-time online while preparing for full-time work, marriage, and family life. I’m the second of 14 children, raised in a hardworking Christian family. My father, a civil engineer, inspired me early on to pursue a career that serves others through design and construction. From a young age, I loved working with tools, building projects, and using creativity to solve problems. I also love the outdoors—hiking, camping, and exploring creation—which has fueled my passion for building in ways that respect and improve the environment. I’m engaged to be married in May 2026, and my fiancée and I plan to raise a family rooted in faith, integrity, and hard work. Balancing full-time school and employment while preparing for marriage and future parenthood is both rewarding and challenging. A scholarship would provide critical financial relief, allowing me to stay focused on my studies and future career. I’m also an Eagle Scout, and I carry the values of leadership, service, and perseverance into all areas of life. My goal is to use civil engineering to design sustainable infrastructure—especially for communities in need. I believe this calling reflects my Christian faith, and I hope to build not just strong structures, but a life of meaningful service.

I am the second of 14 children, and my family’s story has profoundly shaped my pro-life convictions and the path I am committed to walking. My parents originally planned to have a small family—just three children. Early in their marriage, however, they experienced a deep and powerful conviction from God that every human life is sacred and precious, regardless of the challenges that might come with expanding their family. This conviction transformed their hearts and lives. Though they were struggling financially and uncertain about how they could provide for a larger family, they chose to trust God fully and open their hearts and home to as many children as He would bless them with. Their decision was one of faith and obedience. They stepped into the unknown, relying on God’s promises even when circumstances seemed difficult. Almost immediately after embracing this conviction, God provided in ways they could never have imagined. My father was offered an amazing job opportunity that dramatically improved our family’s financial stability. This provision affirmed their trust in God and demonstrated that when we listen to His calling—even when it requires sacrifice—He faithfully provides. Growing up in such a home taught me that life is never a burden but an incredible blessing, and that trusting God’s plan is central to embracing and defending every human life. My Christian faith is the cornerstone of my pro-life beliefs. I believe that every human being is created in the image of God, fearfully and wonderfully made from the very moment of conception. Defending the unborn is not merely a political stance or personal opinion—it is a moral and spiritual calling that demands courage, compassion, and unwavering commitment. The unborn are among the most vulnerable, lacking a voice to advocate for themselves. I feel a profound responsibility to be their voice, to stand up for their dignity and right to life, and to live out my faith by protecting those who cannot protect themselves. To promote the value and dignity of all human beings, especially the unborn, I actively engage in open, respectful conversations with peers and community members. I strive to share the truth about life’s beauty and inherent worth with love, patience, and humility. I support local crisis pregnancy centers and pro-life ministries, volunteering in church outreach programs that provide practical help, mentorship, and encouragement to mothers facing unplanned pregnancies. These ministries reflect that the pro-life movement is about tangible care, not just ideology. In addition to local involvement, I use social media and personal relationships to advocate for life with empathy, always aiming to reach hearts rather than win debates. This lifelong commitment requires strength, humility, and grace—qualities I seek to grow in daily. As I prepare for marriage in May 2026 and anticipate starting a family, my calling to protect life feels even more personal and urgent. I want to raise children who cherish the sacredness of life and understand the importance of defending it. In my future career as a civil engineer, I hope to serve communities by building sustainable, safe infrastructure that reflects the value of every individual, especially the most vulnerable. My parents’ faith-filled example, their trust in God’s provision amid hardship, and my own walk with Christ inspire me daily to defend life with conviction, courage, and relentless love.
Eldorado Tools: The Build and Make Scholarship
As a civil engineering student at Liberty University, I am pursuing a field that has shaped not only the world around me, but also my own life. My father is a civil engineer, and growing up, I always looked up to the work he did. Whether it was hearing stories about the projects he worked on or watching him solve real-world problems with skill and creativity, I was fascinated by how engineers help shape the physical world. From a young age, I developed a deep love for building, designing, and working with tools. I was the kind of kid who would take things apart just to see how they worked—and then try to build something better out of them. Over time, this turned into a real passion for using my hands and my mind to bring ideas to life. I’ve always enjoyed using my creativity and ingenuity to build things—whether it was small-scale construction projects, hands-on hobbies, or designing systems to solve practical problems. Engineering, to me, is the perfect blend of logic and creativity, precision and imagination. It’s not just about structures; it’s about solutions. And I believe civil engineering is a powerful way to make a meaningful difference in both the built environment and in people’s daily lives. In the future, I hope to focus on sustainable and efficient infrastructure projects that don’t just meet today’s needs but also stand the test of time and benefit future generations. I want to design systems that improve access to clean water, safe transportation, and durable housing, especially in communities that are often overlooked or under-resourced. I also have a strong interest in the manufacturing side of construction—finding ways to improve how we source, fabricate, and assemble materials to make projects more cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and scalable. This scholarship will help me continue my education with fewer financial burdens, allowing me to stay focused on developing the knowledge, technical skills, and leadership qualities I need to succeed in this field. As I prepare for marriage and family life, the support would also give me greater stability as I balance my responsibilities with my academic and professional goals. Studying online at Liberty University has given me the flexibility to pursue my education while working and supporting myself, but financial support would be a vital part of helping me stay on track and finish strong. Ultimately, I want to be a civil engineer who not only builds things that last, but who builds with integrity, purpose, and service in mind. I believe God has given me a passion for creating and solving problems, and I hope to use that passion to serve others—both in my local community and wherever I’m called to help.
