I am a great candidate to win this scholarship because I have goals and dreams that I wish to accomplish. I want to be a successful woman and I want to become someone in life and give back to my community as well. I know that I have to work very hard which is why I am driven to learn and highly motivated to obtain a great education. I am a determined person who is a risk taker and does not give up easily. Winning this scholarship will be a first of many victories for me. I have already achieved many things in my school that I am proud of such as obtaining good grades and participating in academic programs. I want to major in criminology and become a detective because I am passionate about helping others and making a safer environment for my community. I want to make a name for myself and most importantly make my family proud of me. An estimate of 460,000 children are reported missing every year in the United States. Being a detective for me is an opportunity to find these children and help those families get back their loved ones. Winning this scholarship is very important to me because it's a step closer of me becoming a detective which means the world to me because I know that I will be helping so many people and making them feel safer. Coming from a low income family who struggles financially I know that If I win this scholarship it will help me tremendously in my education as I become ready to start college and grow my education. It will give me an opportunity to have a future where I can be successful.
