I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Oklahoma City University. As a first-generation Kenyan-American, I am driven by a deep passion for helping others, especially individuals in underserved communities. From early on, I knew I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives through hands-on, compassionate care. My heart is especially drawn to supporting individuals with physical disabilities, helping them gain independence, confidence, and a better quality of life.
As a student physical therapist, I actively volunteer my time and skills within my local community, providing services to those who may not otherwise have access to quality care. These experiences not only enrich my education but also reinforce my belief in the transformative power of physical therapy.
Receiving scholarship support is a vital part of my journey. It eases the financial burden of my education and allows me to continue giving back through volunteer work, without sacrificing my academic success. With your support, I can stay focused on becoming the kind of physical therapist who makes lasting impacts, one patient, one community at a time.
