Hello and thank you for taking time out of your day to look at my profile! I am a second generation born American, with my grandparents both immigrating from Nicaragua and El Salvador searching for a better life for their children. I am currently a rising sophmore at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina and I plan on majoring in Biology on the premed track. In my spare time, I enjoy reading a variety of books ranging from fantasy to epics, tutoring children around my community, playing basketball, running, studying, volunteering, and running a National Service Chapter at my school. By being Vice President of this club I gained valuable leadership experience that I hope to take into my later profession. In the future, I hope to have the luxury of no financial burdens and have the opportunity to give back to my community. I am someone who loves helping people so I thrive on helping my neighborhood. My dream is to help others achieve their dreams and not have to worry about financial means. My FAFSA told me that I am only eligible for loans, so I hope to win scholarships and/or grants, so I would not have to worry about being in debt during and after college.
