I find the "Ode To Millennials-Gen Z," to be a rather inspiring work. Its pull from historical works and statistical data helped me not only grasp the validity of the argument and counterclaims of the argument but to truly recognize to my own extent the level of change that has occurred since the "Old ways". In my line of experience, I have found that I recognize many of these changes, I prefer a written response over a phone call. Additionally, I find that a video call is more interactive and preferable to a phone call as well. I find that through the course of my life as a military child, I have always been subject to change, and while I adore face-to-face contact I have never been a stranger to the lack thereof. Millennials and Gen Z have inherited a "dying" world as some would state, and similar to the passage's main ideas in lines 15-20, I have seen my colleagues and have recognized in myself, that I hold little to no resentment for the generations before. I truly want to see the world improve whether that comes from us through years of grueling hard work, economic depression, or through spontaneous improvements. It will be done, the world will keep improving, and humanity has always worked towards the goal of "improved" existence. From Charles Darwin's theory of evolution to the pop culture references of yesteryear, the culture improves and always seeks to be better than the last. Such is the fate of the generations, when humanity seems down and out, we spring back. Our generation has made a great attempt to do the same. As an aspiring actor and influencer, I seek to inspire others to go for their dreams no matter how far they seem. I want to change the world for the better while doing what I love, exploring, learning, and enjoying life. While it's a job that several different people have already taken, I want to inspire generations to come, just as I was inspired by actors and influencers like Jhonny Depp, Keanu Reaves, Arnold Swarzennegar, and Dwayne Johnson to build a better you, whether that be a swashbuckler with a shabby moral compass or a demigod with a heart of gold. I believe that my generation needs inspiration, in light of all of the modern dangers, fears, and disasters. Many people are looking for a leader, or someone who can bridge the gap between happiness and reality, not an escape, but a "light" a "hope" and I want to be that hope people can believe in. This text has revitalized that same idea within my mind, that the world has been improving, but it has also begun to lose luster in some regards, and though I don't plan on being a researcher, politician, or doctor, I believe I can make the world better in my own right. To ease the mental strain that we all feel so daily, and to help revitalize the hope of the nation.

I have always loved creativity, so much that my business becomes me (, quite literally I am in the business of selling my talents and abilities as an Actor). I have made the greatest attempts to bring myself into the spotlight in ways that benefit myself and those around me, always seeking to be a positive influence on those around me. The idea of being better every day to not only make myself more marketable but to also self-improve and become a better person has always driven me to greatness. I have a great love for business, and for the feeling of professionalism, while I love to have fun whenever possible, there is always a need for a "game face" and turning a work"load" into a work"done". As I continue to apply for different scholarships here on Bold.org, I am constantly reminded of the work that I have done and am endeavoring to continue to see my dreams come to fruition on a global scale. While I do not own a physical business as of yet, I am currently working with a full entrepreneur who works under the moniker of "Wolfdogpictures". I plan to work in one of his upcoming films and additionally plan to work alongside "Sweet Tea Shakespeare" as "Fenton" in a production of the Shakespearian play "Merry Wives of Windsor". My largest and most precious inspiration has been and always will be my Mother. She is an incredible woman as an Army wife, and a mother she has seen nearly everything, and has a remedy, precaution, and workaround (If she can't go through!) for every situation. I cannot even remember how many times she was there to help bail me out of a tough situation, or how many nights we spent together talking about my personal development, or the chastisement that would only cause me displeasure in the short-run for long-run profit. She has worked with me every step of the way, and I can only thank her for her resilience and for passing such an admirable trait to her one and only son. I want to give back her investment ten-fold and make sure that she is taken care of, and shown a world of leisure that she so greatly deserves. She has worked tirelessly to build a family that survives move-after-move-after-move, and I have nothing but respect for her tireless, and vigilant work. My greatest endeavor remains to be my goals as an actor/entrepreneur, I plan to start up my theatre eventually as a way to give back to my community creating a place where volunteer plays, and paid plays can be performed for communities to come together and enjoy a moments peace through pure imagination. It all begins with my education another driving factor in my development to ensure I am properly ensured and making correct business decisions to give myself a "winning-chance" over a "fighting-chance". I hope to create a world where people come closer together and enjoy one another's company again without the barriers that have become so incredibly apparent in the modern day. I want to bring back the days of children playing on the streets in safe neighborhoods and reinstate the sense of community that was so beautifully apparent in the late 1980s. I long to see a world where people come together under a common understanding, and under a common goal to help push our species as a whole towards the next golden age. Thank you for your consideration, and for the opportunity to apply for your scholarship. Please enjoy and take care!

I am Nigel Omar Laugand, born into a nuclear family, and coming from a military child's background, I am coming from loud, yet humble beginnings. My favorite pastime is something I hope to turn into a full career, in Acting and Modeling. I hope to not only give back to my community but to give a message of positivity and growth to the world. I want to make my living not only doing something I love, but doing something that people enjoy watching, and find comfort in so that I can create a more interconnected and positive world as a whole. I have done several hours of community service both in my school and in my community and of course, in a special way allowing me to entertain and positively benefit my community every step of the way. If you have ever heard of the "Trail of Terror," or have heard of the Falcon Player's Theatre club at 71st High School, I have been a part of both organizations and have done my best to improve the lives of others. (When I'm not trying my best to terrify of course!) I also have done several extra-curricular activities to attempt to break into my dream career as well as I work towards a Bachelor's degree at Fayetteville State University, I even have a theatrical part in an upcoming play in November starring as "Fenton", in the Shakespearian play "Merry Wives of Windsor." I love making people smile and as such I am constantly performing, looking for ways to improve my craft, and even more so ingesting media to gain more ideas and inspiration to use to improve. I work hard to ensure that when my time comes and I can be in the spotlight I don't waste a single moment and bring all I can to creating a memorable time for all those involved. I plan to make sure that as I grow as an actor I am giving back to my community through several workshops with other up-and-coming actors, working in charity to spread the message, and building my reputation as a respectable member of any community as I continue to appear on screens across the US. I hope to make the world a better place by donating to charity and other reputable organizations, as well as building businesses to promote green policies and more sustainable methods of transportation. I hope to better communities across America starting with small towns, by donating Solar Panels and creating a better energy system for the United States, I hope to improve my communities by helping to provide those less fortunate with outlets for expression and donating to the theatre program at 71st to provide them with more opportunities to produce great theatrical shows. However, my greatest personal goal is to create a new theatre and put on shows at the local scene for the community to enjoy, both volunteered and paid. I hope to create plays to be presented at the theatre and become not only an actor but a playwright as well. I have always loved a good story, and even more so one with a happy ending, so I can only work hard enough to create my happy ending and see it through. Thank you for your consideration, even though I am not a doctor, I know how to prescribe a laugh and chuckle. Please take care and my condolences Flanigan family.

Upon a stage lies the galaxy's worth of stars, Those who are in their very youth, Who's stage prowess to others may seem uncouth. Those in their prime, Who shine effortlessly and divine. As I look upon this very same stage, I see a moment, my chance, to make a beautiful change. To see the galaxy rearrange, Creating new constellations, To be bold, Cunning, and quick to the beat, To seize my moment no matter how far. Beholding my space in all of it's awe, I know I can, Through will and might, I know that I too can shine, If not even more bright. While an essay is the student's expression, A test their bane, I find peace in my middle lane, Between form and expression, my thoughts will go, As I allow my mind to take form to and fro. O' beauty to be found in the sky above, I am not a stranger, Nor a stargazer, I am Nigel Omar Laugand, A star who's sure to shine.

My name is Nigel Omar Laugand, and I am an actor. Though the technical term would be "aspiring", as I have never been in an officially licensed production. The dreams I hold are nothing short of grand and will take nothing short of dedication, hard work, and persistence. I want to hold a Bachelor's in Theatre and a minor in entrepreneurship (and possibly Music). As a student and "self-proclaimed" actor, I have made my runs through different small roles in church plays, a high school play, volunteer work (Fayetteville Trail of Terror), and my first paid production the "Merry Wives of Windsor" produced by Sweet Tea Shakespear of Fayetteville NC. The basis of my career is to be built additionally with Barbizon Modeling and Acting. I am a dancer, singer, and an avid lover of all things intriguing and fun. So I love to do cosplay, though it's not a very repetitive hobby of mine. I also love to do volunteer work as I know if I am volunteering the people whom I am helping usually really need and desire my services. As a student, I have always given my all through high school I maintained a 3.5+ GPA, and I am still working to keep my grades and accomplishments. If I am a recipient of the scholarship, this will allow me to better pursue my dreams without the need for financial troubles. As a military child, one of the difficult parts of daily life is moving around and that fact makes making and managing money difficult, and being a newly arrived 18-year-old, my income isn't what it really should be... However, with financial help and grants such as this one, the financial burden will become, less and less of a threat to my education, leaving me with a mind to focus more on my school work and even my family life. Additionally, the grant money would allow me to find peace in volunteer work while I am working towards my degree rather than finding, exclusively paid internships, and odd jobs to make financial ends meet. As I am sure many college students know the struggle of working and going to school, with extra money to my name to ensure I have a buffer zone between my success and having to wait until I have the funds to finish my schooling. If money were no object, of course, I would love to attend college and follow my dreams, both entrepreneurial and thespian, but as life would have it we "pay to play". With your consideration in mind, I would like to thank you, and I appreciate the opportunity to be funded in my goals toward college and the arts. I truly do hope that you will see me as not only a worthy candidate, but the "self-proclaimed" actor extraordinaire I know I am.
Charles E. Nettles Continued Graduate Scholarship
I, Nigel Omar Laugand, plan on continuing my educational journey for the sole purpose of being the best I can be at what I love, my love stemming from seeing smiling faces as they enjoy a work of art. I have always enjoyed school as a whole, and have found learning to be something of a comfort. The ability to do for yourself, and to help others to achieve their goals through your understanding. Overall the drive comes from both my internal desire to succeed and be able to deliver the highest level of my craft, and the creation of a stable and productive mind. As an aspiring actor attempting to get a degree in Theatre with a minor in Entrepreneurship. My dreams are many, and far apart, but as I work to build my craft, I need to also focus on cultivating my mind. Theatre has always been a sort of magical event whenever I was permitted or asked to take part, the idea of bringing a story to life, and creating an event that people can come and enjoy at all ages has always been of great appeal to me. As a storyteller, I have always loved bringing life to a character, and as a child, I read books constantly. Theatre isn't an outlet for me, it's a way of life and I intend to live my life in the best way possible. Though secondary education isn't necessary for my desired pathway, I find that it's always been a dream of mine to go to college and as such I desire to achieve that dream. My ideal achievement would be my bachelor's degree, and to land roles as a result of my highly improved craft. A Bachelor's isn't just an improvement for my mind, but it will also greatly add to my repertoire which will make me much more competitively viable and will give me skills to better enjoy my craft as a whole. Without the degree, I am positive that my life will not have nearly as much success, and in addition, the dreams that I have would have to be realized through even more difficult and formidable odds. Though as a previous college student, I am no stranger to formidable odds. I will work towards my dream of higher education as proof to myself and the world of my qualifications talent-wise, both learned and natural. As I continue my growth as a student will only progress toward my end goals. Without forward progress, I am sure to lose, and that is one thing we all cannot afford. I have always seen my education as an outlet to express myself, to create something that inspires other learners, and to guide people who otherwise would wander attempting to gain the necessary skills. I want to be the change that people want to see in the world, and even more so I want to be educated enough to make that change when the time comes. Thank you for your consideration, and the possibility of receiving your help on this journey.
    Godi Arts Scholarship
As an actor, I have been a detective, a "wizard", and come this October most likely a Scarecrow. My achievements have yet to give me a worldwide standing, however I don't intend to let a slow start, be my undoing. As an individual, I have always made my main goal to be an inspiration, and to create an environment wherever I go where others can feel heard, appreciated, and even embarrassed by my antics. As a natural performer, I continue to improvise skits off-camera, tell stories, and inspire friends and family to perform their best and seek to find my success as a performer. In the past year, I played the role of Prospero, the Shakespearian "wizard" during my classes which was part of an exercise for improvisation, playwriting, and performance. The result of which showed me just how lacking I was in my knowledge of the performing arts, and just how much deeper I still yet needed to dive. This lack of understanding additionally led me to join the theatre arts program at my High School, which gave me the unique opportunity to play "Hercule Poirot" the Belgian Detective with a knack for utilizing his "little grey cells" to solve a complex case of a "Clueless Client". The play as a whole was a "low-budget" performance (concerning most other professional productions I'm sure.) that was in my opinion "the greatest opportunity I could have been given to showcase my talents." My teacher Ms. Wagner allowed me to memorize a 90-minute stageplay as the main actor. This has remained a golden beacon on my resume as an actor, and I intend to use the event along with my professional training as an alumnus of Barbizon USA, to achieve my much larger ambition of becoming a Television, Theatre, Entrepreneur, and Worldwide Influencer. I have always hoped that I would be someone that people for generations would put on a television screen, or listen to my television shows, or perhaps even documentaries to feel inspired to achieve great things. I wanted to be a change for positivity, to create the kind of world I imagined as a young child, a world of pure, unbridled, entertainment and wonder. I want to be the kind of performer able to melt worries, raise moods, and improve thousands of lives through my actions, and roles as a performer and human being. I look forward to the opportunity to perform at charity events as a big name to help fundraise and create opportunities for those who are less fortunate, to ensure that people around the world have the opportunity to break away from everyday struggle and simply enjoy leisure. To create a reality where other performers who also want a more inspired, and interconnected world, can come together and provide entertainment for masses of people. It's a bit of a stretch and a goal that may take my entire life. However, as I have stated before, I don't intend to let a slow start, or any distance amount of time, be the reason I throw in the towel. I intend to see a world interconnected by people's goodwill, and a place of disconnection from daily troubles. That's the kind of journey I believe is in store for me, one that seeks to build an "Intercontinental Theatre for the Arts" if you will.
    Disney Channel Rewind Scholarship
As a Disney enthusiast, I have always loved live-action single-camera dramas, and "Lab Rats" and "KC Undercover", were some of my personal all-time favorites. I can recall having downtime and watching as my favorite characters battled evil, saved the day, and tried not to have bad hair days. They felt surprisingly down to earth for being works of fiction, which served all the better as a leisure activity, and escape from day-to-day stress. "Lab Rats", the main cast of characters being Leo (Tyrel Jackson Williams), Adam (Spencer Boldman), Bree (Kelli Berglund), and Chase (Billy Unger) never failed to captivate my attention for hours on end at a time. While I must admit the show itself had some "on-the-nose humor," it was always nice to see the siblings interact and make their way through difficult times as a family. The show itself had several "revamps," in Lab Rats Bionic Island, and Lab Rats: Elite Force all the while keeping the same light-hearted, message of unity and perseverance. "KC Undercover", follows the day-to-day life of K.C. Cooper (Zendaya), and her family consisting of Ernie (Kamil McFadden), her Father (Kadeem Hardison), and her Mother (Tammy Townsend). As an episodic production, it's rather lighthearted and another show capable of being watched as a leisure activity. The main messages are an emphasis on responsibility, coming of age, and "keeping it cool". While the show didn't have any subsequent "reboots", for the time it was in production, it never failed to teach a solid lesson on self-government, personal development, and occasional teenage rebellion. Now for the pitch! I propose an Episode titled "Bionic Surveillance", which begins with the Cooper family once again suiting up for a mission, this time to observe the work of an eccentric and childish Billionaire (Aka: Donald Davenport) whom the agency believes may be creating bionic supersoldiers. The episode would have several cameo appearances of K.C. at the school, a gag of K.C. attempting to replace Perry as the Principal, K.C. sneaking into the Davenport home, and K.C. even getting the schematics of the Bionic Chips that created Adam, Bree, and Chase. While on the Lab Rats' end of the episode, the team of Leo, Adam, Bree, and Chase go about their "normal daily activities." Chase gets suspicious that something is wrong as Perry is acting strangely, small things are off, and isn't taken seriously as the group believes he is being paranoid. Slowly the team also begins to be suspicious, until they are tricked into believing it has all been a training exercise by K.C. disguised as Mr. Davenport. This would all conclude in an accident via. one of Mr. Davenport's servers going offline which would cause the team to spring into action, alongside K.C. to prevent a massive data leak as a result of a damaged server. This would clear the misunderstanding, with K.C. still completing her mission bringing the Bionic Schematics to the agency concluding the crossover episode. I want to conclude with a word of thanks for the ability to flex my creativity with the possibility of earning a scholarship. It's always nice to be able to express an idea like this one to a panel, and with my desire to someday become an actor, it's even better to follow and create a story. So thank you for reading, and hopefully, you enjoyed this "Disney Channel Crossover"! Sayonara!
