Bio

I enjoy working on cars from preventive maintenance to diagnosing issues. Skilled mechanics will be needed to work on older cars as they age and new cars with more technology. This means that I will need further training to advance my skills in automotive technology. I appreciate practical experience over more traditional classes, making a technical college a perfect fit for me. Four years ago, I didn't envision college in my future, but discovering my interest in automotive technology has motivated me to continue my education. I expect the program to be challenging and I know beyond a degree, I also have opportunities to earn additional certifications. I will be the first woman in my family to pursue a career in technology and attend a technical college. My goal is to complete my studies while achieving a debt-free education. In high school, I balanced work and academics, and I'll continue to invest in the tools I need for success. By living at home and commuting to school, I can keep housing and other expenses low, helping me graduate without debt and establish a stable financial future. Receiving a scholarship would not only ease the financial burden on my family and myself but also empower me to focus entirely on my education and future. I think my skills and training will allow me to specialize further in advanced automotive diagnostics and also electric vehicle technology I am excited about working in the automotive field, and I firmly believe that with the right education and training, I can turn my passion into a successful career.

I am pursuing a technical education because I know that automove technology is a growing field and I enjoy working on cars. When I was young I was diagnosed with some learning disabilities. So my focus in school was working on overcoming these obstacles and working hard to keep up with my classwork. Since school was tough at times, I never believed college would be in my future. Through the support of my parents, teachers, and counselors, I was able to figure out that my strengths lie in hands-on activities that allow me to apply practical skills and solve problems directly. I found happiness in working on cars from preventive maintenance to diagnosing issues. I've realized that I have a natural talent for working with my hands and genuinely don't mind getting my hands dirty. I find great satisfaction in repairing and restoring things that aren't functioning properly. These qualities make automotive technology a perfect fit for me. I know that skilled mechanics will be needed to work on older cars as they age and new cars with more technology. This means that I will need further training to advance my skills in automotive technology. Attending a technical college, will allow me to have practical experience over just traditional classes, making a technical college a perfect fit for me. I appreciate that the teachers have worked in the automotive industry and have real world experience to share with me. The staff and leaders of the school also meet with the local businesses so I understand they are in sync with what employers need. When I started high school, I never thought I would want to go to college, but finding my interest in automotive technology has motivated me to continue my education. I will be the first woman in my family to pursue a career in technology and atttend a technical college. I chose a technical college because it emphasizes classroom learning, hands-on training and provides a pathway to work directly as an intern at a dealership. Besides earning my degree, the additional certifications through this program will make me more competitive in the job market. I am excited about working in the automotive field, and I believe that with the right education and training, I can turn my passion into a successful career. The skills I believe are important to be successfull as an automotive technician include being able to problem solve, paying attention to details and having good communication skills. There is the physical requirements of being able to lift things and use tools safely that are also important. Communication is important too because a technician will have to communicate with their coworkers and customers. I am excited about working in the automotive field, and I firmly believe that with the right education and training, I can turn my passion into a successful career. My career plans and goals are clear because I aim to become a certified automotive technician. I think my skills and training will allow me to specialize further in advanced automotive diagnostics and also electric vehicle technology. I am particularly passionate about working in the automotive industry because it is focused on innovation and excellence.
