I am the first one from my family to ever pursue a career. I am trying to make my two daughters proud and become the best father figure they could ever see. I am willing to go the extra mile to achieve this goal to make sure I succeed.

I have always put my family and kids first before myself, but I want to show them I am more than just a dad, a brother, and a son. I am someone ambitious someone determined to not fail to make it happen and past my limits no matter what. I want to own multiple barbershops in the future and give back to my community and show others just because all the odds are against us doesn't mean we stop and lay over but we keep fighting until we achieve our dreams because if I can visualize it I know I can become it I can do it. I am the first in my family to try to go to school and study a trade and chase a dream. My family has always been a low-income family, but I refuse to keep going that route and change the future while also remembering where I came from. I am determined and I won't quit sometime all we need is a little help from others. I am choosing to chase this dream to show my three daughters that It's never too late I am 27 years old, and I might not be the youngest in my classroom, but I don't let it discourage me I am here for a reason. I have always admired going to a barbershop seeing how the environment is and how everyone's looks and moods can change off of just one haircut. I want to be the best barber and surpass every barber that is great but also be humbled enough to know it's a process and to learn from those who are great at their craft. I want to have my own barber shops that help the low-income community bringing back affordable haircuts and also helping with nonprofit organizations to give back. A lot of people often forget where they came from once, they make it and forget how it once was to be in someone's shoes who has lesser, but I plan on helping in any way possible to give back. The thing that makes me happy about the craft I chose is just holding a pair of clippers makes me smile make me feel great and also having instructors to guide me, help me, and show me that barbering is more than just cutting hair. Its a lifestyle. I am grateful for anyone who can help me achieve this dream.
Thank you,
Sincerely Nicolas Escamilla
