My name is Nicholas Jackson, and I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology and have a strong interest in helping individuals and families navigate life transitions, stress, and mental health challenges. My long-term goal is to work as a counselor who provides ethical, compassionate, and accessible care to people from all backgrounds.
Alongside my education, I balance full-time work, family responsibilities, and financial obligations. I am a partner and a father, and supporting my family while continuing my education has required careful planning and persistence. Recently, I faced unexpected medical challenges that resulted in significant hospital expenses, adding pressure to an already tight budget. Despite these challenges, I remain committed to completing my degree and building a career focused on service and advocacy.
This scholarship would directly support my ability to continue my education without sacrificing my family’s financial stability. It would allow me to stay focused on my academic and professional goals while reducing the burden of medical and educational expenses. I am deeply motivated to use my education to give back to others, especially those facing hardship, uncertainty, or limited access to care.
