Hi there. I'm an undergraduate student at Oklahoma State University, majoring in Aerospace Engineering, so I can pursue the life I want to live and "give back" to those that helped me succeed. I'm deemed by others as outgoing, perseverant, & strong-willed. Life is a journey & a test where each experience is a chance to grow, even when others try to bring me down.
I'm a great candidate because I've gone through tough events to get to where I am now, from being given a hard time by peers & teachers as well as criminals on the streets to tragically losing people I knew. I always kept my focus on the finish line, no matter the barriers, even if such things were costly.
I was self-taught, and despite being told, I was useless, I never gave up on my education! However, due to spiteful people, I was dependent on a place to stay so I could conduct my studies, consistently kicking me out on the streets. I knew my only shot at success was a university. Oklahoma State University gave me a hand up, and now my chance to rise like a phoenix from the ashes has finally come to me at long last!
I like doing good for myself & others. It makes me feel good doing so since I'm about going above & beyond in any way, on top of me consistently trying to prove myself worthy, which led to my success & a rise to better life positions! I'll take daring paths to win scholarships & take good chances. My struggle is my story, which is my superpower on top of the abilities I was born with, to begin with, which only added to the strength I already had. Thank you for giving me that opportunity!

I've always had a passion for art and music. I've painted many oil and acrylic paintings, but I was initially a sketch artist. Paintings were my way of expressing myself in an obvious way too, where the expression required no words to show my soul; you need to observe the picture to see how I felt and thought. A picture is worth a thousand words, so every time I paint on a canvas, I'm expressing a thousand words without using words, so in a sense, it's a paradox. I love using this tactic to dumbfound and confuse my enemies in appropriate scenarios. I've also used gimp to modify photos and cut and paste different parts of images together. Art is freedom; it's an artificial world you create unbounded by laws and regulations. It's your world, and you decide all that happens in it because, after all, is it not independent of what happens in our physical existence? If people want to get sensitive and easily offended, that's merely their opinion, but a painting can be anything you want it to be. That is why it is as accessible as freedom can get, and that's also why I love it so much. I also love comics and have created my own comic books. I use various styles. Unfortunately, art doesn't pay my rent all that much, but it's still something I'd like to pursue because it's my main passion and one of my skills. Art class always came easy to me from elementary to high school, and I always got an A in every art class I ever took, and all my art teachers loved me. My two favorite artists were Leonardo da Vinci and Vincent van Goh. Particularly I loved Leonardo da Vinci because not only was he an artist, but he was also skilled in the sciences, engineering, and various other skills, and he's the guy from history I'm trying to mimic. As for music, I never got the chance to learn it, but I have a very strong desire to do so. Perhaps when I get the time, I will learn to play the Chinese flute because I've always wanted to learn how to play it. That is definitely on my list of life goals to pursue. Every day I watch documentaries and biographies of famous artists and musicians, typically from the times of the 1800s and earlier.
Book Lovers Scholarship
If I could have everyone in the world read one book, it would be 1984 by George Orwell. Imagine a world where everyone could see everything about anybody. You'd have no privacy, and to top that off, you can agree or disagree that we all, as human beings, have some dirt on us that we try to hide, and that's every human on this planet with no exceptions. Taking that into account, it would expose all human hypocrisy to such a bluntly vivid and noticeable degree that even the person of the lowest intelligence in the room could see it. For example, let's say you are on Instagram, and that sadistic person forced you to follow her because you were homeless and had nowhere else to go, and now you are stuck in her trap. You are at her mercy, and she decides to kick you out anyway.
Now you are on the streets, and she decides to emotionally appeal to the judge by using the corrupt court system to her advantage and using her clever acting skills to draw the judge to her side to make you look like the bad guy. Now you got a onesided protective order against you. You then decide to unfollow her on Instagram, and as you are doing so, a post automatically pops up from her the second you enter the app, and she can see that you viewed her post and decides to call up the courthouse. You then receive a call from some law enforcement goon asking about your whereabouts, and if you choose not to tell him, he'll report back to the judge, and then the judge will file a warrant for your arrest. In the second scenario, you decide to give the officer your location, and then they come to arrest you on the spot, and you get sentenced to prison time regardless, and then you get labeled as a criminal.
Then you're told that you're a grown man and that you're accountable for your actions, which is hypocrisy because they don't practice what they preach, so explain to me exactly how that's fair on top of them consistently contradicting themselves. That is called the fallacy of appeal to authority. That is why I think everyone should read that book. And that's just one example.
Your Dream Music Scholarship
My name is Nickalos Rizzato, and I couldn't live without music. Lose yourself by Eminem has inspired me more than any other song. To express the message that it gave me, I'll start by saying you must first know what a life of struggle is about and understand pain. He starts out in the slums with nothing but his ambition to live a normal life. He's then given an opportunity to live a better life despite everyone trying to hold him down; he breaks free of the chains that bind him as everyone attacks him from all directions; he keeps fighting with everything he's got against all odds he never gives up. The song talks about how you should treat every opportunity you get like it's your last.
This song gave me the strength to endure the most brutal of times in my life while it felt like it was me vs. everybody.
Future Leaders in Technology Scholarship - College Award
My name is Nickalos Rizzato, and I'm pursuing my dream of being an aerospace engineer. I aspire to invent new high-tech creations for the betterment of mankind and for the way we live life to be more efficient and comfortable. It's my passion to create a better future for everyone and to make the world an overall better and happier place that I envisioned from the time I was a kid now; I'd like to pursue that dream into real life manifestation for a better future for all. Engineers are similar to a scientist but different. Scientists make new fascinating discoveries while engineers manifest those discoveries into creations that can be applied to daily life.
I desperately want to be one of those great people that creates something to help serve our way of life. If given the opportunity to do so, I will accomplish that goal at all costs. This world is constantly evolving in technological advancement at an exponential rate, and I'd very much love to contribute to it on my end. It would be a great honor and privilege for me to be of use to society by offering my skills to better it. One problem I'd very much like to fix in the tech industry for aerospace engineers is to design more efficient ways to make use of the conservation of energy to cycle itself to also help the economy flourish simultaneously, as well as engineer anti-gravity technology to where the physical structure of the aircraft won't matter.
Before you know it, we'll have kids riding around on hoverboards, just like in the movie back of the future, which I was looking forward to as a kid, but it appears it still ain't a reality, so I'd very much like to make it so, and with my great mind and with the support of scholarships from generous organizations and individuals such as yours I'd be ever so grateful and never forget the help I received to make it possible. I love aerospace engineering because our sky and even outer space are a fascination of mine, and let's face it, between our oceans, lands, and sky, at least in my opinion, the sky is the coolest.
Imagine you're a kid, and you're given a choice between a remote control boat, car, or plane. Personally, as a kid, I'd take the plane, but then again, I suppose it's different depending on the person, but I think you can see the point I'm trying to make. To summarize, I love aerospace engineering.
Electronic Shark Scholarship
My favorite moment in school was when I was held in special ed against my will and how I manipulated the special ed teacher's capricious behavior to my will, and by the time she realized what I did, it was too late. I then proceeded onwards to full-on regular classes, where I was finally given the opportunity to prove that I was never incompetent. Not only did I succeed, but I was also the best of the best in all my classes, with damn near perfect scores. With my admirable work ethic, strong-willed spirit, and a sharp mind, which I always had to begin with, I unleashed everything I had in me and let my potential shine its brightest. The special ed teacher that had suppressed me for so long was ever so spiteful as she schemed with my mom for some believable made-up blackmail to use against me to make me look like the bad guy derived from her malice.
I fought gallantly and maintained a 4.0 GPA, and studied ever so hard to ensure my future success. The fire in my eyes set ablaze, and my persistence to never give up against all odds agitated her, but my confidence was never extinguished as I kept up on my assignments and continued to be the best I could be. The simple fact that I blew everyone's minds, and proved them all wrong simultaneously was my greatest accomplishment, and I grew as a person with newly acquired skills on top of it. Aspire to be the best version of yourself by finding a constructive way to better yourself every day of your life and pursue your passion and dreams with hard work and determination; anything is possible, and regardless of what anybody tells you, stay true to yourself and don't let the voices of others drown out your own. You were destined for greatness, and the human potential is limitless.
You simply need to tap into it with consistent admiration and a strong desire to grow. Rather than controlling others, which is the mindset of a fool, learn to master self-control, learn to harness the potential that lies in oneself and focus it on a single point and make that point so condensed to were it can penetrate the most solid assignment, and once you overcome the most challenging task you will build confidence, and the rest will come easier in comparison. The moment I had my first sample taste of success derived from the efforts I put in, being rewarded by the universe was my favorite moment in high school, and now that I'm in university, I look forward to pushing past those limits and heightening my abilities to an even finer point.
Elizabeth Schalk Memorial Scholarship
My name is Nickalos Rizzato. I'm a high functioning autistic. As a kid, I was always different from the other kids. they'd all play and do what was considered average while I would sit in a corner and spend time in my mind as I kept to myself, trying to make cognitive sense of the world around me I was very observant. From day one, I found the acts and behaviors of the other kids senseless and showed no interest.
I was more interested in numbers and was curious about all the strange symbols on a scientific calculator and their meaning. Because I didn't appeal to what was popular, my mom thought there was something wrong with me because I didn't jump around like a buffoon like the other kids were doing. Also, I was reticent and never talked, which my mom thought needed to be corrected.
Because I was different, I was bullied a lot by the other kids and my so-called mom. For years I'd go about what I was doing and think nothing of the abuse, but at some point, I started letting it bother me after I started asking for explanations as to why I was being mistreated and when they further insulted me for doing so that curiosity turned into resentment and it started bothering me, then after it happened for years consistently the pressure kept building up in me and finally at age 12 I snapped and that was when I started to verbally defend myself which still didnt solve anything, but I started feeling a sense of injustice where I wanted to speak my mind because I had enough, and was only treated worse for doing so.
My mom and her ex-boyfriend were picking on me, and I just walked away from them and walked down to the library to try and get away from them, only to find out they called the police on me for not taking their abuse. Me being a minor meant the police would pick their side over mine, and I was locked up in a psychiatric ward all because I left without their permission, and I tried running away from home three times after that, only to be brought back against my will.
I always took an interest in education but was never allowed to pursue it because of wicked adult figures who desperately wanted to see me fail, and what bothered me all the more was that the authorities would always take their side over mine, no matter what explanation I gave them with my sisters and even my older brother putting in their word as witnesses in rare instances yet still the authorities would take my mom's side despite me having all the evidence in my favor made no difference in their minds bothered me most of all. But that still didn't stop me from studying in secret whenever I could. I'm very strong-willed and driven. I can overcome anything! And I will succeed no matter what!
