My name is Nicholas Marvenko. I am currently a student at Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, studying to achieve my Airframe and Powerplant license from the FAA. I intend to invest in a career maintaining aircraft. I have completed one year of schooling thus far and have also completed Air Force technical schooling for aircraft engine maintenance as well. I have planned to pursue a career in this trade for multiple reasons. The first of these is my interest and passion for aviation. I have always been extremely interested in aircraft and the development of new flight technologies, and I wish to be a part of an industry to push that development forwards. I have also always had a passion for maintenance and repairing various types of vehicles, including automotive and motorcycle repair in my own free time. I worked part time in a local automotive repair shop during high school, and I knew that I wanted to continue mechanical work for my career. In my senior year I researched aircraft repair as a career, and found that it offered a large opportunity for advancement and career growth. I feel that I will be successful in my career because I want it. Part of learning or achieving any goal is truly wanting it. My goal is to be the best aircraft mechanic I can, and I have worked hard in school and training to learn as much as I can. I plan to continue to put forth my best effort, both in school and at work, eager to learn every detail to make me better at my trade. To me, success is having what is needed in life. The perspective a person has to what is occurring in their life determines their level of satisfaction and content. For me personally, I feel that I will always harbor a sense of motivation to accomplish more. As a person I know I can always do better, learn more and grow, no matter my age. I know that I will be successful because I have seen where hard work has gotten me, and I fully intend to only increase my productivity of self-investment. I have faith in my own ability, that I was created to work hard, do a job and ultimately give back to others. I do have my own sense of satisfaction with my desired work, however a large portion of my desire to excel is the service to those who rely on the industry. Aviation maintenance requires extreme attention to detail, and the quality of work is trusted by those who rely on the safety of the aircraft they board. It is my responsibility that I have taken on as a technician to ensure that at all times I perform quality, and honest work.
