There isn't a single thing I can think of which I enjoy more than flying. Some of my favorite memories growing up were aviation-oriented: the tranquility of hot air balloon festivals, the iconic aircraft at a local air museum, the various crafts at the Smithsonian, the enormous Saturn V rocket and Atlantis space shuttle at NASA, and the vast expanse of historical fighters at the USS Midway. I think it’s the freedom, and being able to see the world from a different view that makes me enjoy flying so much. For being so high up, flying really brings you down to earth to appreciate everything you have. For me, nothing else has the same power as aviation.
