I have every negative impact a person could have in life. I come from a low income family with no aspirations to do anything but illegal activities. I have a past of incarceration from juvenile to adult life. Because my past I have a lot of doors that closed for me in terms of having a career. I always been good with my hands and enjoyed making people feel good about themselves. That is why i always found joy in the cosmetology field.
Coming from a low income family I always tended to have to do illegal things to get ends meet. I always was depended on by my parents to bring something home to support my family. I was taught how to weigh drugs before i could even learn to drive. This led me to meet very colorful individuals throughout my life. Being part of this life led me to follow gang life in my neighborhood to survive I was a gang member by the time I was 13 years old. Although i was very influenced in the negative lifestyle i always maintained straight A's in school. You could say when it came to school I meant business it was after school and home that was my problem. My mindset differs from normal society which took me a long time to realize it.
Fast forward when i turned 16 I got my first taste of incarceration as a juvenile. I was in the juvenile hall in Stockton Ca. That time didn't do anything to teach me a lesson except I got street credit. By this time my mom abandoned me and my 4 other siblings. Also upon my release my dad ended up going to prison. Results of this happening my siblings and I all had to bounce around anywhere we could go. I had to grow up for survival to make money in the streets while still going to school. I got into drug dealing from my older peers as it became a lifestyle for me. My siblings made it out that dark path as I would like to call it for all I knew I was barely getting started.
On the verge of graduating I caught my first case which landed me in state prison for a year. I didn't learn nothing this time except how to be better at the illegal activities I already knew. Upon my release in 2009 I continued my education and still graduated from my high school. Even though my mindset was right and my heart was in the right place finances to survive was still chasing me and sad to say I ended up back and forth from prison until 2024. At the end of my second term of incarceration I was a known gang member and got affiliated into the Hells angels biker gang around 2015.
Fast forward to 2024 I Just did my last incarceration federally this time. I got a reputation as a big drug dealer and a hells angel. I also became a ballroom dancer. Despite all the bad luck I had I still managed to make it through. So I weighed my options in my last term on what I could do when I got released. I enjoyed helping people feel good about themselves. I also liked art so that led me to going into cosmetology. I am pursuing this skill I am trying to find all the help I can get to fund my journey through school. I am blessed to have a 6 year old daughter and my life has turned for the better.
