Bio
My motivation is driving me to go to college and do everything I know I'm capable of. Once I graduate I thought I didn’t want to go to college but that was a lie. Im motivated about going to college and exceeding in what Im good at and love. For the past 8 months I been working as a Maintenance Technician for Borger management gaining real life experience in plumbing, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, Tenant Relations, Building Relationships with vendors. This is leading me to choose my major to be engineering. Although I have experience in that field nothing is driving me more than my love for football. I didn’t have real chance to get offers or scholarship in the athletic field with Covid-19 taking my 11th grade year and injuries taking my 12th grade season. With the help of scholarship this can turn my dreams to reality. I’ll prove to myself and everyone who would take the chance on me I deserve to be there and that I truly deserved everything I got.

I want to see everyone come together and have real unity. Life is to short to be selfish and not help other when they need. Im currently employed by Borger Management and my time here during the summer, winter and thanksgivings breaks we provide meals and food to those in need. Afterwards I always feel good as expected because knowing I did something to help a family in need is a amazing feeling.

Some fathers decide to leave
Without caring for they children's needs
Drop the guns say no to weed
Pick a path young man achieve
My father died left us alone
I pray the pain won't last that long
Was still a kid I wasn’t grown
Was a little baby left on his own
I feel all alone inside
All because my father died
Late nights i just sat and cried
On the kitchen floor where my papa lied

During the late stretch of my 10th grade year I was extremely excited about going to the 11th grade. At the time I was playing football and I was the happiest I was in a long time until Covid-19 hit. Everything I worked so hard for got taken away from me just like that. The motivation was lost because when I realized what actually happened I was devastated. One of the most important years of my life got taken away leading me to miss out on scholarships, offers and even campus visits. Online school was rough not knowing when you’ll actually be able to have in person interactions again was sickening.
The year eventually passed including a non eventual summer and everyone was back in person going to. This was my final opportunity to work hard in and off the field to fulfill my dreams of going to college. Disappointed to say but everything didn’t work out as I thought it would. The year break from football that Covid-19 forced upon me took an instant toll on my body. My potential was limited from constant injuries and this did not do anything to help with my recruitment or offer process. As the year was winding down and graduation was around the corner I felt lost. I thought I had everything planned out with my future but I never thought about the setbacks I can potentially have as well.
Once school, prom and graduation was finally over I began work with Borger Management as a Maintenance Technician. I Gained real life experience doing hand on training In plumbing, mechanical, electrical, HVAC and Tenant Relations. All this experience was great to have but my heart was not completely in it. I felt as if something was missing and that is football. With all my maintenance experience and skills in football I feel as though I need to bring it to a university. The most important thing these setbacks taught me was to never give up on myself even if it means starting over from scratch.
