I am deeply passionate about pursuing a career in the music industry. Ever since I was a little girl, I have been curious about how a certain note sounded or how to sing a specific one. I have always found joy and fulfillment in singing; Singing is part of who I am. Music to me is like an endless ocean filled with different sounds and emotions. Growing up in a close-knit family, I have always been exposed to various musical influences that shaped my artistic sensibilities. Whether it was gospel hymns at church, R&B classics from my mother’s CD collection, or K-pop hits on the radio. I also learned other genres from singing and participating in chorus from 5th - 12th grade while taking part in the acapella group in 8th grade. I've learned different classics. I’ve absorbed these diverse musical styles like a sponge, paving the way for my versatile and dynamic approach to music while also fulfilling my love for music. Bear Fan Scholarship
In the perfect ending of “The Bear,” the series would highlight personal growth, emotional resolutions, and subtle triumphs that truly resonate with the characters. The raw, chaotic energy that has defined the show would evolve into a more stable and supportive sense of community. Carmy Berzatto has had a tough journey, grappling with grief, perfectionism, and a complex family dynamic. By the finale, he would finally strike a balance between his love for food and his need for healing. The restaurant wouldn’t just succeed as a business; it would become a heartfelt tribute to his brother Michael. Instead of obsessing over Michelin stars, Carmy would create a welcoming space for everyone, where the focus is on connecting with one another and celebrating life’s imperfections. He would come to realize that healing isn’t a straight path but a lifelong journey, and through his empathy, he would transform the kitchen into a place of understanding and support. Sydney Adamu’s journey has been about finding her voice and self-worth, especially in a demanding kitchen environment. By the series finale, she would have blossomed into a confident chef, no longer just playing second fiddle to Carmy but stepping into her own light. Whether she takes on a leading role at the restaurant or decides to open her own dream establishment, Sydney’s growth would reflect her newfound ability to prioritize herself and trust her instincts. Ultimately, she would find comfort in knowing she’s charted her own course while remaining connected to those who genuinely supported her along the way. Richie Jerimovich has gone through a remarkable transformation, evolving from a character defined by immaturity and resentment into someone more thoughtful and responsible. By the end, he might take on a significant role in the restaurant, perhaps as an operations manager, where his street smarts would help keep everything running smoothly. Instead of being the hot-headed guy lost in the chaos, Richie would become someone who finds purpose and stability, showing how far he’s come. Marcus would fully embrace his identity as a chef, stepping into a key role within the restaurant—maybe as a pastry chef or a vital part of the menu development team. His journey would center around building confidence and recognizing that his worth doesn’t hinge on perfection, but on his passion for cooking. By the conclusion of the series, he might open a quaint bakery or café, blending his creativity with everything he’s learned along the way. Tina and Ebra would also carve out their spaces in the kitchen. Tina would step up, bringing her tough love and support to the forefront, while Ebra would remain the warm and reliable presence, helping to hold the restaurant family together. Both would be celebrated for their dedication, and the final scenes would showcase them as essential players in the restaurant’s success—not just as employees but as people who find belonging within their chosen family. This ending feels fulfilling because it beautifully reflects the show’s central themes: resilience, growth, and the intricate nature of family ties. The characters would face their struggles and emerge stronger—not entirely “fixed,” but undeniably transformed, having learned to embrace the journey together.

    Once Upon a #BookTok Scholarship
My ideal bookshelf would be an entire room dedicated to books, with shelves lining both the left and right walls. It would be a cozy space where I could escape into different worlds and stories. I am not a big fan of every genre, but I am a huge fan of clean romances, mystery novels, and books where the two main characters have great chemistry but do not end up together. I also love history books, stories about interracial couples, and manga. One of the must-have titles on my bookshelf would be "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen. It is a classic romance that has inspired many modern love stories. The chemistry between Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy is undeniable, yet their relationship is not straightforward. This book has had a significant impact on the #Booktalk community, as many readers discuss the timeless themes of love, class, and societal expectations. Another essential book would be "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown. This mystery novel is full of twists and turns, keeping readers on the edge of their seats. The way Brown weaves historical facts with fiction is fascinating, and it has sparked many discussions and theories within the #Booktalk community. This book has also inspired many readers to explore more mystery and thriller novels. For history lovers like myself, "The Warmth of Other Suns" by Isabel Wilkerson is a must-have. This book tells the story of the Great Migration, where millions of African Americans moved from the rural South to urban areas in the North and West. It provides a deep understanding of the struggles and triumphs of African Americans during this period. The #Booktalk community has praised this book for its detailed research and compelling storytelling. I would also include "The Sun is Also a Star" by Nicola Yoon on my bookshelf. This book features an interracial couple and explores themes of fate, love, and identity. It has resonated with many readers in the #Booktalk community, especially those who appreciate diverse and inclusive stories. The book's unique narrative style and relatable characters make it a compelling read. Lastly, I would have "Naruto" by Masashi Kishimoto, a popular manga series. This story of a young ninja's journey to become the strongest in his village has captivated readers worldwide. The #Booktalk community often discusses the themes of friendship, perseverance, and self-discovery found in this series. Manga like "Naruto" provide a different reading experience, combining visual art with storytelling. In conclusion, my ideal bookshelf would reflect my diverse interests in clean romances, mystery novels, history books, stories about interracial couples, and manga. These titles have had a significant impact on the #Booktalk community, sparking discussions and inspiring readers. I believe that having a diverse and well-rounded bookshelf is essential for personal growth and understanding different perspectives. This aspect of his life is particularly inspiring to me. It reminds me that success is not just about personal achievements but also about lifting others up and making a positive difference in the world. While some may argue that other players like Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant are the greatest, I believe LeBron's all-around game sets him apart. His versatility, ability to play multiple positions, and skill set make him a unique talent. He excels in scoring, passing, and defending, making him a complete player. His longevity and consistency in performing at the highest level for nearly two decades further solidify his status as the greatest. LeBron’s journey from a challenging upbringing to becoming a global icon is a story of resilience and perseverance. It mirrors the challenges many of us face and shows that with hard work and determination, we can overcome obstacles and achieve our dreams. Music is what brings people together and gives people a feeling of inclusion. One thing that I would like to do for my community is start a choir. I've been in chorus all my life and I joined my first acapella group in 8th grade one thing that I learned from that was that everyone felt like they belonged. It wasn't based on who could sing the best or who sounded better but because of the people around them, the atmosphere that was created simply because everyone had something unique about them musical or not. I hope to replicate that atmosphere in my future choir.

My favorite K-pop group of all time is BTS. I know this is probably not a shocker, but BTS has had a significant impact on my life and global culture. I was first introduced to BTS in 2018 when their song "Wasted on Me" came out. When I first heard this song, I thought it was like any other song, but then I heard the vocals and felt a rush throughout my body. That was the start of a new beginning for me. Being a Black girl in middle school listening to K-pop was not normal. Most Black people listen to R&B, hip-hop, and rap music, and that is what is considered normal. When people found out that I listened to K-pop, they immediately made fun of me. It was always harsh criticism and constant teasing. Despite this, I continued to listen to BTS because their music spoke to me on a deeper level. BTS has made a significant impact on my life in many ways. Their music has helped me through tough times and has given me a sense of belonging. As a rising college freshman at Belmont University, majoring in Music Business, I have found inspiration in BTS's journey. They started from humble beginnings and faced many challenges, but their hard work and dedication paid off. This motivates me to pursue my dreams in the music industry. Moreover, BTS has had a profound impact on global culture. They have broken barriers and have shown that music is a universal language. Their songs address important issues such as mental health, self-love, and social justice. This has resonated with millions of fans worldwide, including me. BTS has also used their platform to give back to the community, such as their "Love Myself" campaign in partnership with UNICEF, which promotes self-love and mental health awareness. BTS's influence extends beyond music. They have become global ambassadors for Korean culture, introducing many people, including myself, to Korean traditions, language, and values. This has fostered a greater appreciation for diversity and cultural exchange. As a Black woman, I believe it is important to embrace different cultures and learn from them. In conclusion, BTS is my favorite K-pop group because of the profound impact they have had on my life and global culture. Their music has been a source of comfort and inspiration for me, and their journey has motivated me to pursue my dreams in the music industry. Despite facing criticism for my love of K-pop, I have found strength in BTS's message of self-love and resilience. As I embark on my college journey at Belmont University, I will carry the lessons I have learned from BTS with me and strive to make a positive impact in the world.

I got my first relationship with Jesus Christ at the age of 16, and since then I have never looked back. Jesus has shown me who he is through many different things throughout my everyday life and came through for me at my lowest. Each obstacle that I face just increases my faith in him and serves as a reminder that as long as I stay in him, everything will be all right. My faith in Jesus has shaped who I am today. I have learned to trust him completely, knowing he has a plan for my life. This trust has helped me stay strong during tough times, like when I struggled with my studies or faced personal challenges. Jesus has always been my rock, and his presence in my life gives me the strength to keep going. As I prepare to start my journey at Belmont University, majoring in Music Business, I plan to implement my faith in every aspect of my education. I believe that my relationship with Jesus will guide me through the challenges of college life. I will rely on prayer and scripture to keep me grounded and focused on my goals. My faith will help me stay positive and motivated, even when things get tough. One way I plan to implement my faith is by using the gift that God has given me – my voice. I hope to join a gospel choir or a Christian music group on campus, where I can use my talent to praise God and inspire others. I also want to be involved in campus ministry and Bible study groups, where I can grow in my faith and support my fellow students. Being a black woman in the music industry can come with its own set of challenges, but I know that with Jesus by my side, I can overcome any obstacle. My faith will help me stay true to myself and my values, even in a competitive and sometimes cutthroat industry. I will strive to be a light for others, showing them the love and grace of Jesus through my actions and my music. My high school GPA of 3.5 reflects my dedication to my studies, and I am committed to maintaining that level of excellence in college. If I could change anything in the world, I would lower gas prices. I think it is quite shocking that people are paying 3 to 4 dollars just to get gas. Gas is getting to be very expensive these days to the point where there are some people who cannot even get a full tank of gas because by the time they hit a half tank, they have already paid 30 bucks. Lowering gas prices would have a significant impact on many aspects of life. For one, it would ease the financial burden on families. Many people, including those in my community, are struggling to make ends meet. High gas prices mean they have less money for other necessities like food, education, and healthcare. By lowering gas prices, we could help families save money and improve their quality of life. Additionally, lower gas prices would make it easier for people to get to work and school. As a rising college freshman at Belmont University, I know how important education is. Many students commute long distances to attend college. High gas prices can make it difficult for them to afford the commute, which can affect their education and future opportunities. By lowering gas prices, we could make education more accessible for everyone. In the music business industry, where I plan to build my career, transportation is crucial. Musicians, producers, and managers often travel long distances for gigs, meetings, and events. High gas prices can be a barrier to success in this field. Lowering gas prices would make it easier for people to pursue their dreams without worrying about the cost of travel. Moreover, lower gas prices would benefit the economy as a whole. When people spend less on gas, they have more money to spend on other goods and services. This increased spending can boost businesses and create jobs. It can also help reduce inflation, making goods and services more affordable for everyone. As a Black woman, I am aware of the disparities that exist in our society. High gas prices disproportionately affect low-income and minority communities. By lowering gas prices, we could help reduce these disparities and promote greater equality. In conclusion, lowering gas prices would have a wide range of benefits. It would ease the financial burden on families, make education more accessible, boost the economy, and promote greater equality. This change would make a significant difference in the lives of many people, including myself. As a student, I am committed to making a positive impact in the world, and I believe that lowering gas prices would be a meaningful step in that direction.

Growing up, beginning in elementary and middle school, I've always had trouble with Math. This subject has always been a complicated one for me. I was never quite able to grasp an absolute understanding of how to work out my mathematical errors. It was very frustrating being unable to answer what others called simple equations or give examples explaining how to do a certain problem. Being unable to truly understand mathematics made my confidence go extremely low and it made my self-esteem very low as well. I felt that because I didn't know the answer or know how to solve a problem, I was stupid, and my grades began to suffer because of my lack of understanding. My mother took me to tutoring sessions at Lawndale Baptist Church for 2 years. I also attended summer school and weekend sessions for help, though my grades increased, I still never obtained a letter grade of "A". Eventually, something happened, it was my prayers, and I began learning new ways to retain and understand. I now ask more questions. People don’t dare to speak up when it comes to Math. If you say the wrong thing or ask the wrong question, you seem dumb. As I continue to ask questions, on a consistent basis, it allows me to feel strong and courageous. I get more knowledge and understanding while also helping other students around me. People have gotten the answers to the questions that they didn’t ask as well, due to the questions that I’ve boldly asked in front of others. One year has passed, and I have officially begun getting great grades in math. This year, I obtained my first "A". I am proud of myself because I know that I worked hard for that grade. Because of my trials and errors, I applied questioning to the things I have come to love, like my passion for music, fashion design, and dance. In Music, questioning helps with focus. I ask a lot of questions when it comes to music such as “Why do some things sound harmonious and others don't?” “How is music structured?” “How is rhythm different from a beat” Asking questions allows me to focus on the topic at hand. Questioning in fashion design brings out my creativity. I have always wanted to know a lot about it, and my questions got my foot in the door in the fashion design sector. It opened a new world for me/ What’s it like being a model? Do you create your clothes? How do you choose your fabric? Is it from Joann’s fabrics or from Paris? I, actually found out, that there were different ways to design clothes - not always from scratch but also premade. I learned that the industry is very harsh and that I don’t have to go to college to design. I started designing immediately. It brought a new level of creativity in myself that I never knew I had. I am the head designer of my modeling and fashion club as a result. I've grown a lot in my dancing journey, from joining the praise team at age 8 to joining the K-pop dance team at 16 and becoming a leader. When I began dancing I always looked at other people to follow their movements. As I grew I questioned why we did certain moves which led me to be a successful dancer thus far. In conclusion, I have learned through questioning that I don't give up when it's hard. I strive to be the best person. I can be in not just academics, but also lifestyle.
