I am a third year college student with Type 1 Diabetes. Growing up my parents always put forward the value of education and made sure my siblings and I understood that school was an incredibly important thing that we had the privilege of experiencing, especially college. For that reason I am committed to studying, getting good grades, and getting the most I can out of my college education. I enjoy reading, writing, spending time with my family and friends, bonding with other students that have Type 1, and volunteering for T1D studies.
I am currently majoring in Cognitive Science and minoring in biology and plan on pursuing a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience. I hope to do research on the human brain, and am particularly interested in the fields of Memory, Learning, and Perception.
