My name is Neelah McCarthy. I am a sophomore in college at UMass Amherst where I am currently studying journalism. To provide more background about myself I am passionate about politics, news literacy, and feminism. I am constantly reading about social issues as well as politics and how they intersect with our lives. In high school, I was a part of the National Honors Society as well as the Social Studies National Honors Society. Moving forward, I started playing soccer when I was three years old and I played competitive club soccer for over seven years. Overall, I am a well-rounded, hard-working student.
