In 2010 I went to a homeless shelter to help serve them food and to hand out hygiene bags. I really enjoyed seeing their faces light up with a bright smile as we were handing out the care bags to them. It almost brought me to tears to hear them say that most of them items they had received in the bag they had went years without. One of the main items were a toothbrush and toothpaste, which to us is an everyday item that we have access to. After that moment I started to think about what career I could go into that would not I lay out a smile on my face but others as well. After days of reasearch I had come to the conclusion that I wanted to pursue a career in being a dental hygienist that will help clean those whose teeth need it the most.In this career I will get to help educate the less fortunate and inform them on why it's important to take care of your teeth and soo help them keep their teeth clean.
