I am a first-year college student at Oregon State University majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering. I intend to graduate with my Bachelor's Degree at age 19, get married, and move to Boston, where my girlfriend is currently attending Harvard. I am driven, a quick learner, and committed to ethical excellence in everything I do. Beyond work and school, some of my hobbies are running, reading, working out, playing ultimate frisbee, getting coffee with friends, and playing the piano for worship. Another part of my identity is Type One Diabetes. I was diagnosed at age 5, and though it is not easy, I am thankful for the condition, because it has taught me great discipline and responsibility. My current dream career is working with renewable energy generation, because this would allow me to work outside and help the environment. I'm very aware of the problems caused by global warming, but I believe that people are developing excellent solutions, and I want to be a part of it. My ultimate goal in life is not to make a name for myself; I care most about who I become and how my life impacts people. I certainly plan to do excellent work, but my character and personal effect on the people I interact with will always matter more to me than my professional achievement.
