My dream in life is to pursue a career in psychology & medicine. Mental illness is a world-wide issue that much of society is unaware of it's origins or causes. As a result of this I want to advocate for those who suffer with this illness since it is not the fault of their own, but most stem due to traumatic events in their childhood or early adulthood that they are unable to cope with. In a perfect world society would assist those in poverty who are unable to receive the treatment that they need to succeed, but until mental illness is seen as a priority will it still be an issue, and this is why I am fighting for a change.
