Bio

Graduating from college and simply being enrolled in college makes everyone in my family proud of me. The love and support I receive from the people around me encourage and motivate me to conquer it all and do the best that I can, hopefully resulting in a successful life ahead of myself. Nothing will get in my way to make not only my family but also my friends and most importantly, myself, proud! A great goal of mine a couple of years from now is to open a training gym dedicated to youth athletes during the off-season and school vacations. They will also be able to get the resources they need to be successful in their own goals from coaches and athletic trainers. We see a lot of gyms that are 18+ and are dominated by adults who are focusing on their health and physique. Young athletes in high school should be able to train in a community where they have common goals and at the same age range to build stronger relationships and friendships while also gaining many different perspectives of training to get to play in college and professionally. During my high school years, I wish I had been able to find something readily available for me to pursue my dreams of playing sports more actively for my school and in college. Unfortunately, I was not in a competitive mindset during my high school years and did not join any sports. I want to make sure that students avoid what I went through follow their dreams and get plenty of guidance from many different leaders outside of their school community.

    Disney Channel Rewind Scholarship
Growing up, I loved watching Disney Channel. The daytime Disney shows were great and the nighttime Disney shows and movies were even better. And since it was my favorite channel to watch, I was able to get my mom to watch some of the shows that I watched and she loved most of them as well. Mutually we both found love for Even Stevens. This show brought the humor and childish acts between Ren and Louis' sibling rivalry and often wrapped each episode theme's around friends and family. Still to this day, it would be considered one of our favorite Disney shows. Another show that we loved to watched on Disney Channel was ironically not a Disney show because it was originally a Canadian show that aired on Disney Channel in the US, and that was Life With Derek. This show is very similar to Even Stevens with the relationship and rivalry between Casey and Derek and their blended families, while still ending most of the episodes with a heartwarming message. Combining these two shows, as well as their rivalry, would create a great plot for a crossover episode title "Family Rivalry" where the Stevens host the Venturi-McDonalds in the US for a possible law-firm partnership. Although this is a business trip, Mr. Venturi suggests that the family take the opportunity of going to the US as a family to explore American soil and to expose Lizzie and Casey, Mr. Venturi's stepdaughters to the attorney lifestyle. Once the families have met in the US, each set of siblings pick up on the others siblings' rivalry. Though this is not new to each of them, Ren and Casey found that they can relate in more ways that they thought as well as Louis and Derek. Their vindictive and creative minds plans to work with each one another to take their sibling rivalry over the top. From putting suitcases on the roof, prank calling as celebrities, and so much more, the satisfaction of both sets of siblings were not enough. Then the haughty brothers and the cunning sisters decide to prank the other during a time that well take them all the way down: at their parents' business party. The sisters decide to prank the boys by plotting against the business party in a way that they would only suspect that the boys were up to it. Similarly, the boys do the same. With a combination of both siblings' pranks at one event, it causes a great disaster that cost the future of their parents that they worked hard for. Remorseful, all the siblings plan to put their differences and childish acts aside, and work together to make things work again for their parents' sake. With slight differences and challenges amongst the siblings along the way, they were able to resolve all the problems that they have caused because of their sibling rivalry and glue the law-firm partnership together. While doing so, they Stevens kids and the Venturi-McDonald kids found resolution and forgiveness within their own relationships as well as with the others.
    Nintendo Super Fan Scholarship
Growing up, I always loved playing video games with my cousins. There are some many different games that we would play, but most of them were Nintendo games. My cousins and I grew up with the Nintendo Wii so we would play Wii Sports. Although the game that was most memorable would be the side scrolling Super Mario Bros. on the Wii. We could play this game solo, but it was most fun with each other. With this specific game, it took lots of teamwork; we could not leave one another behind because the side scrolling aspect of the game would cause one of the players to just fall off the course. But as the game got harder, tension and frustration grew between us and the teamwork would just be thrown out and it did not matter if you got left behind. Basically, if you died, you died. Too bad. But this is what made it fun! We had to work together so we did not go against each other and complete the game and the frustration made it funny. Memories like these are what I love to talk about because the evolution of games are always changing. Even though this memory of playing the side scrolling Super Mario Bros. was not that long ago, yet there are so many changes and differences to the Mario games today and I love to see that for the newer and younger generation to take on.
    Lost Dreams Awaken Scholarship
When I hear the word "recovery", I define it to be a time of reflection. Recovery is a stage in life that comes after an event; it could be an amazing event such as the first day of a new job or something unfortunate such as substance abuse or addiction. Recovery from substance abuse may require many thoughts about how the need for substances arose, did it affect you positively or negatively, and what can be done differently so that you are not harming your body excessively. It can be difficult to understand and reflect on yourself and what you may go through which makes it a challenging process that people need to fight through to better themselves for their future. From here, those who were able to have a great reflection on what their challenge was, how it was affecting them, and what they want to be done differently, can receive help and support from many different resources out there to continue down the path to be a better version on themself.
