The mean reasons why I would benefit from this scholarship are that I am already pursuing a career in cosmetology, I am extremely passionate and hardworking, and lastly, I need financial help pursuing my dreams. The first reason I would benefit from this scholarship is because I am already pursuing a career in cosmetology. I first became interested in the field when I was around 10 years old. Beauty videos on youtube were becoming popular and they struck a chord with me. I learned how to do my makeup from online videos starting in middle school. From there I grew a passion for hair design. At the start of covid, I discovered nail art and I hit the ground running. I learned almost all I know online and I would love to get a professional education. That is why I enrolled in the Newtech Skill Center Cosmetology program. I am earning 700+ hours through their program by the time I graduate high school. On top of that, I started working at The Man Shop in October of 2022. Then, in January I started my Apprenticeship there. I will earn my cosmetology license through their program. What I need this scholarship for is a Business AA. This degree will help me tremendously in my future career as a cosmetologist. The second reason I deserve this scholarship is that I am extremely hard-working and dedicated. Once I set my mind on cosmetology I sought out opportunities while still in high school. I will not sit around and wait for good fortune to come my way, I will always run out and find it. I will not stop until I achieve my goals. That is why I am applying for this scholarship, it will help me achieve my goals. The last reason I would benefit from this scholarship is that I need financial help getting a Business AA. My father supports 6 people in our household, one of which is also attending college. He cannot afford to pay for my schooling. My mother recently lost her job and had to find a much lower-paying one to cover rent and child support. I cannot pay for college myself because even though I am working as much as I am able, it is not enough to cover tuition costs. For these three main reasons, I believe that I deserve this scholarship to help me achieve my dreams.
