From the time I was a little girl, I wanted to work as a radiographer, I can remember being fascinated in regards to human anatomy. All I ever wanted was to get an understanding of what our bodies look like inside. I wanted to know how our organs, blood vessels, and the bones and muscles worked. I wanted to know how many layers of skin we had. Until one day I was reading a news article about how bodies go unclaimed in the city morgue due to a lack of identification. In this article were people who suffered from tragic injuries, how one-man face was peeled away with gashes and deep cuts, how I thought this was amazing to see because I had never seen what bodies go through after trauma. This was the moment of confirmation to lead to my goals.
I feel that I am a great candidate for this scholarship because it will not only benefit my educational experience, but it will also benefit the community due to the shortage of radiographers. I wanted to do my part in the community by bringing the services that’s needed in the healthcare organization by providing the patient with high quality services and coming up with new ideas that will help the healthcare organization run efficiently and follow my heart desire to bring a balance to this world healthcare system, especially when I see war going on in other countries and just seeing the medical team being burnt out; I want to do my part to relieve the stress in the healthcare organization by getting the educational background and the clinical experience that will lead to a place longevity with today’s technologies.
