I am interested in contributing to the global effort in combating climate change and improving sanitation in areas stricken with war and poverty. I want to design and implement solutions to critical issues that people face in impoverished communities in urban areas in the US and internationally. Specifically, I want to test the behavior of atmospheric aerosol particles in the atmosphere after implementing a program where the public transportation systems run on biodiesel produced from waste cooking oil. Hopefully, this effort will mitigate the health effects caused by air pollution, and people won’t have to suffer silently.
