Hi everyone! My name is Naomi Lopez, and I am a sophomore at the University of Texas at Austin. My major is Psychology in the liberal arts program. I come from a Mexican background, and I have two siblings. One of them is also at the University of Texas at Austin, and my little brother will start college next year. The thought of all of us attending college at the same time; truly terrifies me. I do not want my mom to get sad and cry because of financial issues. She and my dad have given us everything and supported us every step of the way. I share this personal issue because I want everyone to know that I am trying no matter what. I get stressed easily. However, I always tell myself that things will get better. I also hope to manage my stress better in the future with patience and hope. Apart from that, I love spending time with my family and my two huskies. I like to watch movies every weekend with them and simply their presence. Overall, I love my family. My goal, for now, is to get a master's degree in counseling psychology. I have always liked the feeling I get when I make other people feel better. Probably the reason I chose psychology as my future path. However, I believe there is more to that, but that is an answer I need to figure out on my own. I hope this website helps me pay for my college expenses. I want to help my parents in every way I can because I have seen how hard and stressed they have been because of us.
