I read books multiple times a week.
I am a driven student with a passion for understanding people and creating meaningful change in my community. I plan to attend the University of San Francisco to major in sociology with a minor in psychology, followed by earning my master’s degree in psychology with a focus on social psychology. Ultimately, I aspire to earn my doctorate in counseling and become a licensed therapist, providing support to individuals who often feel unseen or unheard. My long-term goal extends beyond private practice. I hope to open a humanitarian center that offers housing, home-cooked meals, financial literacy education, and accessible mental health counseling for individuals experiencing homelessness. I also aim to partner with organizations to provide job opportunities, helping people regain stability and reenter society with dignity and confidence. My passion for this work comes from personal experience. After being displaced by the Eaton Fire, my family and I experienced homelessness for three months. During that time, we were often turned away from hotels and treated as if our situation defined us. That experience opened my eyes to the harsh realities many people face for years, not just months. It shifted my perspective and strengthened my commitment to advocacy. I firmly believe that “homeless doesn’t mean worthless.” Through my education, career, and future humanitarian efforts, I am determined to challenge stigma, restore dignity, and create lasting opportunities for those in need.
