Striving for change within the justice system is what drives my motivation in getting my degree. The justice system fails to fight for children and animals the way it should. There are multitudes of children being forgotten and pushed into foster care where their needs are not being met, even minimally. Same with animals, however, once an animal has been in a shelter for a significant duration of time, it'll be euthanized. The animals that are running loose are dying. These animals and children need someone to be their voice! My goal is to work to be the voice for those who are unable to speak in a court of law. However, Missouri just established an animal law program, therefore, my schooling will completely be based on child law, with a concentration in animal law. Throughout high school, I was President, Secretary, and Historian of the local 4-H group. I was an active member of FFA, A+, and National Honors Society. Athletics included the Boys Track Team manager, Junior High girls track team manager, and junior varsity softball team. Through these experiences, I learned selflessness, management skills, and leadership skills. Coming to college, I joined the Campus Activities Board (CAB) and Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity (PAD). I'm working towards getting my degree in Political Legal Studies and a minor in ASL (American Sign Language). I also recently got engaged. My main goal is to go to law school to advocate for children and animals in the justice system.
