Hi! My name is Nadia Edwards and in 2021 I was accepted into Full Sail University to earn my bachelor's degree in Film Production. Going to this college has grown my knowledge further than I could ever imagine in the film industry. Alongside my attendance at Full Sail University, I am a huge advocate for mental illness because I suffer from severe anxiety. My goal is to advocate for the community that suffers from mental illnesses as well as the minorities that suffer from it as well. I am a first-generation college student who is very grateful to my parents for allowing and making a way for me to attend college even though they didn't have the means or funds to attend college themselves. College is something that I believe will make or break your future. Not in all cases, but some. And me attending a University that will widen my opportunities for my future is an experience that I am forever grateful for to everyone who had a hand in making sure that I went to college. Minorities, in my opinion, are very underrepresented when it comes to the film industry, so I'm goal is to create a safe space on the screen for them to be rightfully be represented and understood. I'm also hoping to open my own production studio that creates a safe space for everyone that feels misunderstood, or out of place in any situation that has made them feel less then.
