Bio

My name is Muna Abdullahi, and I'm currently studying Neuroscience at the University of St. Thomas. I spent my childhood in Kenya, becoming fluent in Somali and some Swahili. My passion for biology led me to focus on courses like neurobiology, genetics, and evolutionary biology as an undergraduate. Driven by curiosity about the natural world, I aspire to earn a graduate degree and conduct impactful research on infectious diseases. As an undergrad research assistant investigating host-pathogen co-evolution, I am gaining valuable experience that inspires my goal to become a global health research scientist. With a graduate education, I'll have the skills to make scientific contributions that improve health outcomes worldwide.
