Sports, specifically golf, have been a defining part of my life since I was little. Playing sports has shaped my work ethic, mindset, and future goals. Golf has allowed me to make lifelong friends and grow connections I would not have if it were not for sports. With this, high school golf taught me patience, mental toughness, and the importance of consistency. Every practice, every bad round, and every setback I faced helped me grow not only as an athlete but as a person. I have learned that success in sports requires teamwork, communication, and strong leadership. Sports provide people of all ages with the ability to grow, and learn life lessons. As a competitive golfer, I learned quickly that success in this sport requires resilience, focus, and a lot of dedication. In addition to competing, I have developed a deep appreciation for the details behind the game. Specifically tournament organization, player support, and fan engagement. Being around golf for so many years has allowed me to see its impact beyond just competition and tournaments. As I prepare to continue my golf career in college, I am excited to take the next step athletically and academically. It will allow me to grow as a person and pursue a degree in business and marketing, which aligns closely with my career aspirations. I have always loved the idea of having creative freedom and creating something that is my own or something that can help an organization thrive, which is why I chose to major in business. Balancing college academics and athletics will help me further strengthen my discipline and prepare me for the professional world. My ultimate goal is to graduate college and work for the PGA Tour. I have followed the organization for a long time and am very interested in the business side of sports, including event planning, marketing, and player relations. I am inspired by how the organization not only showcases elite athletes but also creates opportunities for young players to get involved. I hope to contribute to the growth and accessibility of golf. While the sport has traditionally been seen as exclusive, I want to help make it more inclusive and approachable for people of all ages, experience levels, and backgrounds. I want to help create experiences that truly inspire the next generation of golfers. Golf has taught me invaluable life lessons and I want others to have the same opportunity to experience how amazing the game of golf can be.
