Bio

Hi, my name is Morgan. I am a high school senior at Wakefield High School. I would like to go to a four-year college post-graduation to study aerospace or mechanical engineering. I am fascinated by math and physics and can't wait to learn more. One of my main concerns in my career path is ensuring that even as I progress through the workforce, I am still able to do math in my day to day job. My extracurricular aspirations are just as big as those confined within school walls. I love backpacking and hiking and I want to explore as much as I can, especially National Parks in America.

Prime Mailboxes Women in STEM Scholarship
I am passionate about STEM because people focusing on STEM career pathways are discovering new things all the time. I would love to be a part of a discovery that can change the current approach to something, like developing new technology or discovering another theory that can further findings in science, especially in the aerospace and aviation field. I am very interested in aerospace and aviation technology, and that is a field of science where new discoveries are made all the time to make projects more efficient. I would also like to be a part of helping to make space exploration more environmentally friendly since I am also very interested in environmental science. It's important to do the best we can to preserve the planet for the next generations and many years to come. I think that my studies in the STEM field will prepare me for a successful career because they will be a part of furthering my education into something that I am really interested as well as preparing me to enter the workforce and be a helpful part in developing, improving, and designing spacecraft based on new technologies. By making the most out of the education that I am having in high school and am planning to experience in college, I can be a useful member in a company who's interests align with my own. It is very important for women and gender-nonconforming people to be just as involved in the STEM pathway, if not more, than men in order to help solve problems in STEM in the future.
