Bold Great Minds Scholarship
We all have our favorite personalities whom we respect and love from the bottom of our hearts. While some of them are friends and family whom we meet almost every day, a few of them are renowned sportsmen or famous 'silver screen stars' whom we have never met. Interestingly, I have a list of my favorite personalities from different arenas whom I follow on social networking platforms and I admire them for their talents, skills, contributions, philanthropic activities, and success stories.
One such famous person whom I greatly admire is Rebecca Lee Crumpler. Not only being the first female doctor but the first African American female doctor. Despite everything she had to overcome, she never gave up. She had always dreamed of being a doctor. Females were overlooked and ignored in the medical field for quite some time. She is an inspiration to me for never giving up.
Bold Friendship Matters Scholarship
Friendship is a word that can have multiple meaning for different people. A lot of people may say that friendship is just the relationship between two people who enjoy talking to each others, hanging out with one another or just someone who is nice to them. Also, a lot of the time, people can also misunderstand what exactly friendship is. The standard definition of friendship is the emotions or conduct of friends; the state of being friends. However, friendship to me, is something that brings support, joy and makes you who you are. For example, when I say that friendship is something that brings support, I mean the friends that are there to support you through your dreams, goals, life, etc. Friends are people who support you in what you want to do, not to just give encouraging words and not be there. I find that a lot of people don’t really think about that when decide to be in a friendship with someone just because they’re nice or because they talk to that person once in awhile. Friendship, to me, means a bond between family.
Bold Listening Scholarship
I have always been the overlooked person. It is a confusing thing when you talk so much, but nobody really listens. Without eavesdropping, at least I try not to, I try to listen to what is going on around me. The happiest people are often the ones who are depressed. I listen to them more. I try to not only hear them but take in what they are saying.
Connie Konatsotis Scholarship
My name is Morgan Mitchell and ever since I was young I've been interested in Science. I am a fun, outgoing, and relatively crazy person. The impact that I want to make on the world is far more than you can ever imagine. I want to give people a chance at healthcare. make people feel safe in their surroundings, and make a difference within the healthcare system altogether. When it comes to the human body, there are so many things to be discovered. I want to pursue my education in Nursing so I can make a change in today's society.
Bold Love Yourself Scholarship
When it comes to me, I am a very compassionate person. I like to make sure that everybody else is okay before I worry about myself. When I was 13, I was diagnosed with Depression and Anxiety. Depression makes you not worry about anything, while anxiety makes you worry too much. Having both is an experience I wouldn't wish on anybody. I always put a smile on my face regardless of what I am feeling on the inside. I love that I can be there for people who need it the most. We all have bad days, but if I could remind somebody that it's only a bad day and not a bad life, that's enough for me.
REVIVAL Scholarship
Since I was young, I have always been interested in learning about the human body. When I go to high school, I was put in a medical pathway. This means that I was put on STEM classes such as A&P, Medical Terminology, Principles of Health Science, etc. For some, it would feel like just another class, but to me, it was so much more. Before I knew it, I needed to come up with a plan for after high school. I wasn`t sure what I wanted to be or how to get there. I decided to join a CNA program at my high school. It taught me more than I ever thought I would need. It took me a while to get serious about my grades in the STEM classes and the CNA classes. I've faced many obstacles trying to get to where I wanna be, so if you were to ask me how my education would help me, I would simply tell you I've learned.
Stephan L. Daniels Lift As We Climb Scholarship
Since I was young, I have always been interested in Science. Working in the medical field is something I want to make a difference in. Whether you work in a nursing home, a hospital, etc, there are some people are depending on you. I want to make a chaotic environment of ill patients into a comforting and calm place. I do not believe that anybody should feel run down by their surroundings. I want to find convenient and efficient ways to make the medical field a better place.
Andrew Perez Mental Illness/Suicidal Awareness Education Scholarship
Since I was 13, I have always loved learning about the human body. At that age, I was also diagnosed with Anxiety and Depression. It takes a toll on a little girl to be filled with sadness and anger while not knowing why. I let my mental illness get the best of me for a while until I realized I was the only one that could control it. While battling my depression, I decided to get into the CNA class at my high school. I didn't know where to start with my medical career so I figured I would take it day by day. I plan to attend Lamar University in the fall of 2022 to major in Nursing. My mental illness has and always will be a big part of me. Going through what I went through has shown me that it is only a bad day, and not a bad life. I want to find peace and comfort in knowing that my Anxiety and Depression don`t define me.
Bold Mental Health Awareness Scholarship
In todays society , mental health is overlooked. I believe that if counseling was free, more people would be able to go. People who have degrees in physcology should willingly volunteer to work in counseling. People with mental health problems do not want to go to counseling , let alone counseling worth thousands of money. I believe that free counseling could change the way mental heath is handled today.
Breanden Beneschott Ambitious Entrepreneurs Scholarship
Healthcare is a big part of todays society. Most people don`t have to worry about medical bills , while others have to skip out on helthcare alltogehter. I want to create a free healthcare clinic where people don`t have to worry about money. I want to live in a society where it doesn`t matter how much money you have, what your last name is, or what background you came from. I believe that building a free clinic could do wonders for many.
Ruth and Johnnie McCoy Memorial Scholarship
My name is Morgan Mitchell and I am a senior at Newton High School. I am a funny , brilliant , and most of all creative type of person. I believe that there is a good out look in every situation. I am a very shy person, but sooner rather than later I embrace myself to be bold and straight forward. Since I was 13 years old, I have always wanted to be a nurse. Now that I am 17 and know more about what I want , I truly believe it is the career for me. I plan to attend Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas in the fall. I want to change the healthcare system and make a difference. I believe everybody deserves to have a chance to get better.
