    Bold Joy Scholarship
According to Webster's dictionary, "joy: a feeling of great happiness." Fortunately, joy is so much more than a definition, it's the feeling you get inside when I do something I love when I step outside and feel the warmth on my face, it is the rain that makes the flowers bloom in the spring, it is my mother when she finishes all of the extra things she does for her kids, and it is the feeling of a hug after a long physical and emotional day. Joy is not just the feeling of something I accomplish throughout the day, it is specifically the feeling I get when I am around my family, friends, and being tied to my natural environment. As individuals, we feel like we need to seek joy through adrenaline-like activities like sky diving, cliff jumping or even doing what people believe we should not because it's a danger. The wonderful beauty of joy that does not need to be sought out joy is a feeling and emotion all humans get through the smallest things, and it is a beautiful natural emotion.
