My name is Monique Tsosie and I am from the Navajo Nation. I was encouraged by my family to further my education. My family has always told us, the younger generation, to further our education. It will take you to many places and you will meet many people. By furthering my education, I can obtain the things I want and do the things I’ve always wanted to do on my own. I won’t have to depend on my family.
I am enrolled in my first semester at Dona Ana Community College. I completed my Associate's Degree at Dine College in Health Occupations. I am currently working toward my associate's degree in Health Information Technology. I am taking 12 credit hours this semester as a part of my degree program.
My goal is to obtain my degree and start my career in healthcare administration. By accomplishing this I will be able to become independent and I will not have to depend on my family to support me.
I am most passionate about gaining knowledge. I like to learn about different things like science, biology, and astronomy.
I am a great candidate because I will always do my best to accomplish all my goals. In addition to being highly motivated, I am result-oriented and willing to go the extra mile in order to achieve my goals and learn along the way.
