    Minority Students x Stem Scholarship
As a first-generation, low-income, and minority student, I have always been fascinated by the world of technology and the role it plays in shaping our lives. Growing up, I was always curious about how things worked and had a natural inclination towards science and mathematics. It was this curiosity that led me to pursue a degree in the STEM field, specifically in computer science. My journey into the tech industry started with a simple app on my phone that piqued my interest. This app allowed me to explore the different aspects of technology, from coding to design, and I was hooked. I knew that I wanted to dive deeper into the space and learn as much as I could about the world of technology. However, as I delved deeper into the industry, I realized the challenges that minority students face in pursuing careers in tech. Despite being a rapidly growing field, the tech industry is still predominantly white and male. This lack of diversity and inclusivity can be incredibly disheartening, especially for students like me who are eager to contribute their skills and ideas to the industry. That is why I believe that it is our obligation, both as individuals and as an industry, to ensure that the tech field is inclusive to all consumers. The technology we use every day has a massive impact on our lives, and it is crucial that the individuals behind these products and services represent the diverse perspectives and experiences of society. If given the opportunity, I would change the tech industry by promoting diversity and inclusivity at all levels, from hiring practices to product development. I would also work towards creating programs and initiatives that help underrepresented students enter the tech field, providing them with the resources they need to succeed. As a first-generation, low-income minority student, I understand the struggles and barriers that come with pursuing a career in the STEM field. However, my passion for technology and my desire to make a difference in society has only grown stronger. I am determined to overcome these obstacles and make a name for myself in the tech industry. I believe that the tech industry has a moral obligation to be inclusive to all consumers and to represent a diverse range of individuals and backgrounds. I want to play a part in making that a reality by bringing my unique experiences and perspectives to the table. In order to make a positive impact on the tech industry, I believe it is important to start by increasing diversity in the workforce. This includes not only having a diverse pool of employees but also promoting and investing in their success and growth. This can be achieved through mentorship programs, paid internships, and providing opportunities for skill-building and networking. In conclusion, I am eager to take my passion for technology and my desire to make a difference in society to the next level by pursuing a career in the STEM field. I am grateful for the opportunity to apply for the Minority Students x STEM Scholarship and believe that with support, I can make a positive impact on the tech industry and be an advocate for inclusiveness and diversity in the workplace.

    Kozakov Foundation Fellowship for Creatives
Dear Kozakov Foundation, I am Chowdhury, a first generation student from New York City who has a deep passion for acting. Pursuing an acting career has been my lifelong dream, and I am now at the point where I am ready to take it to the next level. I am writing to apply for the Kozakov Foundation Fellowship for Creatives Scholarship as I believe it will provide me with the financial support and resources I need to achieve my goals in the field. My interest in acting began at a young age when I would watch classic films with my family. I was captivated by the way actors could bring characters to life, evoke emotions, and tell stories that could impact people in profound ways. This led me to study drama in high school and participate in local productions, which further solidified my passion for acting. After high school, I enrolled in a film and theater focused university where I have had the opportunity to further develop my skills and gain practical experience in the field. I have taken part in several stage productions, short films, and workshops that have allowed me to grow as an actor and gain a deeper understanding of the craft. I have also had the chance to work with talented directors, writers, and actors who have provided me with valuable insights and guidance on my journey. My goal as an actor is to bring a diverse range of stories to life and create meaningful and impactful performances that will resonate with audiences. I am particularly drawn to roles that challenge societal norms and bring attention to underrepresented communities. As a first generation student, I believe that I have a unique perspective and understanding of the challenges that come with pursuing higher education and a creative career, which I hope to bring to the roles I play. In terms of what I have accomplished so far, I have received positive feedback from audiences and directors on my performances, and I have been praised for my ability to bring authenticity and depth to my characters. I have also received recognition for my contributions to the university’s theater program, including being selected for the lead role in a highly anticipated production. I am confident that with the support of the Kozakov Foundation, I will be able to continue to grow and achieve my goals as an actor. I am committed to using my education and experiences to make a positive impact in the world through my activism and community service. The foundation’s mission to create equity in the creative arts and provide financial literacy tools to creatives aligns with my own values, and I believe that I would be a great fit for the scholarship. Thank you for considering my application. I have attached my portfolio to this letter, and I hope you find my work to be of interest. I look forward to the opportunity to share my passion and talents with you further. Sincerely, Chowdhury

    Jose Prado Memorial Scholarship
The fact that I was raised in a Hispanic family has had a significant impact on how I view the world. I was up with a strong feeling of community and the value of family values thanks to my family. I've grown to value my heritage's rich culture and history, and this has given me a strong feeling of ethnic pride. My family has also instilled in me the virtue of perseverance and hard work. Having come from a low-income family, I have direct experience with the difficulties that may result from money problems. But because of their fortitude and commitment to supporting our family, my parents have shown me the value of tenacity and the capacity to overcome challenges. I also have a deep feeling of empathy and compassion because of my family. As a first-generation college student, I've had to manage a lot of difficulties and get over a lot of barriers. I now have a profound awareness of the challenges that many people encounter when pursuing their objectives as a result of this experience. I've discovered how critical it is to stand by individuals in need as a sympathetic and understanding ally. Along with the principles that my parents have taught me, my Hispanic heritage has also had an impact on how I see education. In my family, education has always been highly regarded as a method to open up more options and attain success in life. Because they were unable to go to college, my parents have always highlighted the value of education and have helped me with my academic endeavors. I learned the value of being multilingual when I was young, and I speak both English and Spanish quite well. As a result, I've been able to interact with a wide range of people and develop a special view of the world. I've come to understand that being bilingual is not simply a talent but also a means of bridging the gaps between various groups and cultures. My Hispanic heritage has also exposed me to the wide range of traditions, holidays, and rituals that make up the culture. This has helped me appreciate variety more and has taught me to be accepting of other people's traditions. To sum up, my Hispanic familial history has had a significant impact on how I view the world. I now take these lessons with me as I continue to strive for my academic and professional objectives since it has taught me the value of hard work, tenacity, empathy, and compassion.
