I read books multiple times a week.

I read books multiple times a week.
I am a great candidate for this opportunity because I work hard in everything I do. I will not let this scholarship go to waste. I have attended numerous leadership conferences and took JROTC (a leadership course) in high school. Although JROTC is dominated by men, I managed to stand out and rank up faster than my peers. I am currently in ROTC. This course takes up a lot of my time and requires real commitment. I have been training in martial arts for nine years so far. Training has taught me discipline, perseverance, and leadership. I am a junior instructor at the dojo I attend. I am a role model to the students. I know that they look up to me. I want to make them proud and hopeful for their own futures. I want to show them that hard work pays off. I currently work one job on campus to help pay for my tuition. I plan to keep working. During my breaks, I visit my family. I have five siblings. I know that it will be hard for my mother to support all five siblings financially for college, so I want to do my part in saving money and paying for part of my tuition. In the future, I plan to become an anesthesiologist. I have always been interested in the medical field as a child. Becoming an anesthesiologist will be a dream come true. My family will be proud. If I study hard, I will be able to help someone through their surgery day. I will be able to change someone’s life.
