My name is Miriam Hardyway, I'm a current freshman in college transferring to Washington State University in the Fall of 2022 with a burning passion to do something more with my time and future. My life goals and dreams are to find hope and innovation of change in whatever I decide to pursue, and to make sure that what I am pursuing I am passionate and happy with. Currently my path leads me into game and computer design. It is important for me to represent myself, being a minority going into the technology industry, and I'm fully prepared to go in headfirst and show it what I am made of! There are a lot of internship and study abroad opportunities available for my major, and I'm excited to take advantage of them. There's a strong determination that I possess to pursue my future and happiness, and get through any rough financial obstacles to reach my goal of higher education. Coming from a family that is money poor but wealthy in love and devotion is the reason I have made it so far. My parents have always been behind me emotionally and financially, being ready to take out loans and spend money they don't have to further my education and travels, so getting scholarships is important to me so I can ease my families financial burden while having the ability to continue my path financially, as I already have the drive. I desire to push towards the change in the technology industry that I want. It is important for me to support my family like how they have supported me when I'm finished with my bachelor's and masters degree and start working!
