Every individual is made significantly different from the next person. Still, one can only be revolutionary if one can harness their inner man and gift and pour it out to others. My ideal revolutionary person is someone whose internal environment impacts their external environment. Someone who is spiritually grounded and uses their gift and creativity to impact their community, society, and the world positively. Someone who allows fruitful spirit, creativity, and higher power to flow through them. Someone who embraces love and has a peaceful energy that calms the chaos. Someone who isn't afraid to fail nor afraid to share their gifts and talents with the world. Someone is mindful and self-aware and seeks to expand their wisdom and knowledge to benefit their community and society. Someone innovative, Agile, uses intellectual and critical thinking skills, can listen, and can communicate effectively with others—someone honest and authentic to themselves. They are in constant motion of self-refinement and evolution; they are a creator, a leader, someone that can utilize their environment and the people around them to make a difference. We all can be revolutionary people if we tap into our higher selves. Empowerment is essential to a better world so it can vibrate higher. Someone who possesses self-awareness can look within themselves and assess their character and how it affects them and those around them. They can hold themselves accountable and constantly evaluate themselves to grow. Someone who is authentic to themselves and empowers others has the potential to make dramatic changes in their community. Their community would benefit from their authenticity and empowerment, inspiring others to step out of their comfort zone, realize who they are, and use that to make a positive difference. This ideal person is a critical thinker, allowing them to problem solve, assess situations and provide well-thought-out solutions and ideas. They are people and know how to communicate with people to network and build strong relationships with people with a positive purpose. They are an active listener and welcome the ideas and opinions of others, making people feel welcomed and heard. They are innovative and creative, channeling their creative side as a form of self-expression that encourages and shares with others. They are agile. They can inspire and encourage others. All of these skills and qualities are what make a positive, productive environment. With these skills, they can sow a seed in their community and nurture it. My ideal person didn't always have it easy in life but could transmute every bad experience into something positive and beautiful. They would have faced a lot of hardships in life that have taught them a lot of experiences of humility, hard work, stewardship, and growth; experiences that will allow being a testament to their word. These experiences will open opportunities for community influence and prove to people what is possible.

Losing my grandmother to a preventable illness opened my eyes to Nigeria's poor health policy and healthcare. It made me realize that my purpose is to improve my community and ensure quality health care is accessible to everyone. I became more aware of the numerous victims who lose their lives at the hands of a poor healthcare system; this motivated me to fight for change. My long-term goal in life is to improve the quality of healthcare in third-world countries, such as Nigeria. I value equity, social justice, integrity, and community. My short-term goal is to work exceptionally in school to obtain my professional license as a registered nurse practitioner. I aim to open and work in a clinic as a nurse practitioner that offers exceptional healthcare for the underrepresented parts of society and provides intentional care to its patients. When I was younger, I aspired to become a doctor, but witnessing my grandmother's illness grow to the lack of proper care inspired me to become a nurse instead. A nurse, different from a doctor, is opportune to form bonds with their patients and understand who they are as a person, creating a positive professional relationship. They can provide compassionate, warm-hearted care as they work diligently beside them. As a nursing major, I aim to expand my knowledge and gain more insight into the foundations of medicine and healthcare and how to improve healthcare and its policy. With the wisdom and understanding I will gain from my academics and interacting with professionals in the field, I will be able to see the healthcare system in a more informed light, allowing me to work hands-on in the field and address the health crisis in my community. With my passion for serving the community and my purpose to develop and improve healthcare and healthcare policy, I will find my path in nursing undoubtedly rewarding. There is fulfillment in knowing that I can prevent people from experiencing unnecessary suffering through my advocacy, intentional care, hard work, and passion. I am a part of two underrepresented communities that are important to who I am: African and African American being Black and a woman. I know and understand what it means to see resources without access to them or be shown less attention and care due to systemic discord and division long engraved in our country's history. It has become my responsibility and my generation's responsibility to both be and create change. I believe that as I work hard in my passion in the healthcare field as an aspiring nurse practitioner, I create connections with my patients, seeing them as more than patients, to hear their voices and advocate. Along with my long-term goal, I hope to raise money through my future clinic establishment to fund clinics and hospitals in third-world countries to receive the care and attention they deserve. I hope to aid in improving healthcare policy and desire to ensure that I become excellent in my nursing profession, just like Cindy J. Visser, and positively impact my communities and the world. I plan to stay committed to my calling and my community. I am intentional, driven, and willing to work hard to expand my knowledge to be an asset to society.
