My goal is to be the best version of myself I can be. I plan to do this by living out my passion for working with computers, by becoming a software developer. I've been interested in computers and STEM since I was little, and I will stop at nothing to make this a reality. I also want to experience the wonders of life, be a well-rounded person, educate myself, and learn new things while working towards my goals. This motivated me to go away to pursue a college degree and make something out of myself. I grew up dealing with various health issues and currently deal with ADHD and other mental conditions but thanks to a loving, supportive family and a spirit of raw determination, I never let those circumstances get in the way of me doing my thing. Additionally, coming from an African American background, it's been ingrained in me to show strength even when it feels like the world is against me. I will not let anything stand in the way of my dreams, no matter how difficult it may seem or what box society tries to relegate me to. I may not be doing perfectly, and I sometimes stumble and fall, but what matters is that I get back up and when I get back up, I do better. And as I reach the place I want to be in life, I want to give back to the people of my community--others who are facing similar barriers or who came from undeserved backgrounds. Since when one becomes successful, they have a responsibility to return the favor to their community and people that helped & supported them along their journey. With all that in mind, I seek to inspire others to be as bold as me.
