Hello! My name is Mikayla Wagner, and I am a dual-enrolled Catholic Filipino-American homeschooler and athlete who loves helping others and making them smile! Below are three words/phrases to describe me: 1. Intellectual 2. Long-term achiever 3. Heart for others My Catholic faith is the core of who I am, what I am, and what I want to be. I hope that as I grow as an individual, I may become what I have always been called to be. I enjoy the challenges of gaining wisdom through knowledge and experiences, especially when the fight for truth comes through scrutiny of right and wrong behaviors and influences. One of my recent challenges is learning to excel in college-level classes at my local state college. For years, I have been interested in education. As a teacher, I hope to empower others to become purposeful individuals with strong minds, bodies, and souls. To this end, I have been teaching year-round piano since 2021 and instructing in swimming since 2019. I design original curricula and adapt them to each student's individual needs. Another interest of mine is music. I am currently working towards earning my associate diploma with The Royal Conservatory of Music, one of the world's largest and most esteemed music institutions. Other music-related activities I enjoy are accompanying the choir at church, planning and leading vocal and instrumental music programs at a local nursing home, and teaching music theory. I plan to continue impacting others by being an inspiring, innovative, and independent role model who can help lead others closer to God.
